Colony, School , Hospital.... community centre....One can clearly understand how caring the company was towards its employees. Corruption...Not updated with technology.....politics....failure of management....etc were might be reasons.
Yes, hmt was not able to compete with Titan & Fastrack etc leading companies & became irrelevant with time that was the major reason 🥲
Hmt watches ki technology and quality is evergreen, connot be compared with these shitty brands, absolutely beautiful and reliable watches, especially their mechanical ones, please don't compare with other watch brands, lack of leadership and initiative is killing PSUs

This is the best place to spent you life with full joy n happiness.My father served here for almost 30 years. I remember each n every bit of things... School , the servant quarters , GM quarters , one which opens up near bhujiyaghat nainital road( that road got abandoned), even i did an NCC ATC camp here. Everytime i go there it feels so horrific to see the present condition.
I wish in future this place shines bright like it used to be. HMT♥️

The same situation is prevailing in all most All PSUs which are closed in all over INDIA. In Hyderabad it self the 7,200 acres of Land allotted by State Government to Hindustan cables limited , HMT, Hindustan Fluro carbons, IDPl, Cement corporation of India, Indian Ordinance factories, INPB [ HMT bearings , IDL [ Indian Detobators, ] Allwyn , Sir silk mills, Sirpur Kaghaj nagar paper mills, Azamzahi cloths mills , Hindustan organic chemicals, Hindustan insecticides in Rasayani [ near Mumbai] , , and its vast Lands and quarters , office complex are lying and in dilapidated conditions . It is pity to see these all these in this condition. The central Government should withdraw its' plans to sell assets,including land allotted to various PSUs in Telangana and in Other states . Instead the BJP Government should explore the possibilities of reviving and strengthening the PSUs and start setting of new industries. The commentor has retired from Hindustan insecticides in 2012 and waiting for arrears of more than Rs. 3 lakhs which are pending from company
