I've noticed that this quiz seems to be quite generous in accepting misspellings. I wonder if it's some feature, or the author thought to include all of those.
JetPunk (the website that is used in this video) uses what is called "type-ins". There are mostly used for accepting rough spellings of cities (or anything else for that matter). There are quite a lot of "default" type-ins, for example, the United Kingdom can be typed "THE UK" or "GB", or "BRITAIN) etc. Now these default type-ins don't exist for EVERY possible word, but the creator of the quiz themselves can change it to be more tolerant towards certain spellings. A common example of this is accepting cities that have a "-on-" in their name... without it. So "Stoke-on-Trent" is usually inputable with just "Stoke" I hope this was clear :)
Ok my bad, it turns out that "Stoke" is a default type-in. I've used a wrong example but I assure you that not all cities with "-on-" can be inputable with just the word that is before "-on-", yet a lot of creators accept those spellings anyway
I got 298 (before watching your video). Although there were still quite a lot I had heard of but couldn't knock out, and I also didn't see Honolulu. China and India are insanely difficult, but to be fair my knowledge of Mexico, Brazil, Turkey, Nigeria and Indonesia was also terrible. I would need to study those thoroughly to get a high score on this quiz. At least I got Europe (even including Russia) completely, as I live in Germany. Except for five smaller ones I also got all in the USA.
Thank you for making videos! And if you didn't know zh is like a mix between j and z zh is that weird sound that English doesn't really use but a lot of other languages do. Also have luck remembering Nizhny Novgorod from Veliky Novgorod!
I got 298 but it probably would have been like 30 less if I didn’t google the correctly written version of some cities that are just complicated and hard to write down correctly like Burkina Faso’s capital or Madagascars capital or since I’m german I learned many cities written differently so I would have not gotten them right even tho I knew how to say them so I would not count that as cheating anyways even 268 would have been a good amount

Well that sound - although slight differences probably exist - is best approximated for an English speaker as the s in "measure"
As someone who just accomplished this. I wish you luck for the future
469 is the best I can do in three attempts. China, India and Japan are impossible
Dang! That's super impressive.
I got 381, mostly missed cities in India, China and Nigeria
