I love birds and painting birds even though I am not great at it. Thank you for this little gathering. Very pretty. You are teaching me creative license to add elements not in reference photo.
This is adorable . Realistic but not filled with details .. perfect for a relaxing day .... I have my exams coming up and haven't painted for about a month .. but I'm thinking of painting on the weekend , everyone deserves a break from a stressful life.... And painting is the perfect way to relax .. thank you for these beautiful pieces and tutorials ❤️❤️
The birds are so cute. What you heard about the birds being puffed up is right your painting reminds me of the birds I see at my home at the bird feeder during the winter and are all puffy.
Hi Nia! I loved what you said about painting a place to stand for the other birds or it would be"weird or unfair" . That was funny and it made me smile. 😆 My favorite bird tutorial. Nicely done!
Great composition. Love the birds you always do a great job teaching. I have learned a lot in your videos. Color, position, and blending colors. Thank you.
Since moving to a house on a 2 acre wooded lot, I've become an avid bird watcher, but my attempts at drawing/painting them have been rubbish. I'll give these birds a try. ❤💜🧡🐦
SUPER cute!!! My mother-in-law asked me to paint a bluebird but I’ve been dragging my feet ‘cause I’m just not in the mood! (I’ve been into urban sketching/art journaling instead, working on loose, ink & wash techniques). But thanks for the inspiration! I think I’ll try one with a loose technique like you did here.
:0 so pretty! Also I have a request (not sure if you're taking them buttt... if you are) I was wondering if you could make a painting of a n enchanted forest, you can use any reference you want but the subject enchanted forest, if you could make something like that, I think it would be pretty cool, and I also think that a painting like this will work well with your artstyle. Soooo yeah if you ever want to make a painting related to an enchanted forest, I think that would be really cool and interesting lol.
I’m just starting..having a Devil of a time figuring out these variables of how damp, how concentrated paint, how much and how concentrated in the brush, etc etc! Nothing every beginner hasn’t been exasperated over, I’m sure!
Yes, thats something that had to be learnt by feel, for some people its more natural, for others not so.. unfortunately thats just something that had to be experienced from person to person when it comes to watercolors. The more experience, the quicker you will get at judging those things. Working in a slower pace and lighter consistency is safer, so you can build up from layers, when the paint is still wet, its easier to make corrections by taking off paint with tissue or a clean brush to help direct the flow of paint as well.. hope these tips help
Well... ko-fi was originally jus a donation page for me, because I got a lot of comments from people asking how to donate since they've enjoyed this channel so much. I sometimes feel bad receiving donations just like that, so I decided to sell outlines. This way people who goes there are not only supporting my channel but can get a little something in return as well if they wish to. The outlines are not just photos of the sketches but actual outlines that I traced out digitally out of my original paintings, so it is also extra work for me. Honestly though.. so many people have been enjoying this system for years. You're actually the first complaint I've had regarding this 🙃
This sweet set of little fluffy pretty birds are so soothing after a crummy work week. I always look forward to Nia Friday's. Thanks so much.
How did they turn out?
They are adorable! Realistic but not overworked, painted with a light touch. Thank you very much!
Thank you so much!
You are brilliant in talking us thru the painting. The best I have heard. Thank you so much for this. God bless❤️🦋
