There is a newer Dewalt Charger DCB1112 12amp 20v charger. Can you test that one and let us know the charge times and if it is worth the upgrade? I have the 4amp charger and thinking about getting one of the fast chargers.
I wish they made slower charging (4a) with a fan. The fast chargers will shorten the lifespan of the battery. And with the extremely overhyped Powerstack, I see that becoming a huge issue.

as long as you keep the battery cool during fast charger, it's fine.
