I think the being tougher in pro gamers over the years may also be because the level of skill has been constantly increasing as well. Like looking at games 5 and 10 years ago... The top 20 pro gamers today especially, would Demolish the competition back then. So seeing some of the mistakes pro gamers make today, like not having a unit in the wall or accidentally flying your prism over an enemy army... those mistakes stand out like a neon sign in the dark
I don't really consider it to be tougher on the players. Those mistakes even five or ten years ago would have been huge. If you want to play professionally, you need to ensure those mistakes don't happen. However some of the professionals keep making the same basic new player mistakes where it is becoming a joke among spectators and casters.
@@IcariumGamingi dont fully agree. Like, 8 years ago, that would be a big mistake thats hard to recover from. In today’s top tier games, you just dont recover from it unless your opponent tosses a mistake like that himself aswell.
@@지갑텅텅구리 Terran also can't cause splash without a target. Protoss can use disruptors, storms, and to a much lesser extent colossus. Terran could do the same thing with tanks, but the primary target takes significantly more damage than the splash, making it a poor comparison to the colossus. Observers are also invisible, which even against professionals can be hard to spot. I have seen a lot of tournament games where the observer is literally sitting where it can view the main base, third, and the exit of the natural for minutes.
I think ghosts need their EMP to do damage based on the amount of energy and shields removed (like HT feedback but with splash). It just doesn’t make sense that there’s a unit that can do absolutely anything and everything, and somehow still don’t have this small detail.
3rd game is the best example of Terran ability to multi prong or harass without taking any high risk.. and how helpless Protoss is against it even at highest level of play..
I think it’s just that protoss has relatively poor micro at the pro level. You see terrans doing drops while half the warp prisms get picked and all army hot key is used

Widow mines are not siege unit. You can split VS them, they have long CD and they can do even friendly fire. Let's then give lurkers friendly fire and slower speed to mines and let's see.
Cure will make life easier for himself if he pulls out and saves some units in a losing battle. I know easier said than done but this is where clem excels at
Honestly, i love your stuff and i wouldnt have anyone else be my go-to caster, but i couldn't finish this one, lowko. Way too negative and bitter today. I hope you end up having a good holidays.
I don’t think you’re tougher on players. It’s more so that as the skill level of pro players has risen, the margin for error has shrunk. This means that the seemingly smaller, more nitpicky errors are no longer small in their impact and thus warrant a stronger reaction.
one could cut the damage of the widow mines in half, then give them a massive +50% damage per ground weapons upgrade. so at +2 they would be the same as before and at +3 they would be 25% stronger than now. this would be similar to doubling their size in the medivac, but make it so they can have a bit better staying power as the game drags on.
They haven't really had any issues being useful all game. They are extremely effective vs zealots and zerglings all game. The issue they had late game if any was the abundance of detection. Already punishing those who don't have it with their army, increasing the damage beyond their current only makes them even better where they had no weakness. Your suggestion only pushes drops into mid game, losing a lot of the early economic damage. It would also still require the same supply for being weaker. I believe Terrans would rather have only two, to guarantee probe kills, than eliminate all early drop play.
But mines are already still relevant in late game too; the only reason you don't see them as much is because ghosts, liberators and thors are even better. No, what needs to be done is the same thing that was done to banelings: at no level of upgrade should widow mine splash be able to one-shot workers. Perhaps further, right now widow mines have the dubious distinction of being able to be both anti-personnel, with high splash damage, and anti-tank, with high single-target damage; they should be forced to pick a lane, sort of like how Thors need to switch between splash mode and single-target mode.
@@user-nh2bf4to7g I disagree with the need to pick a lane. The low cost, health, and supply make them a unit that you can set a forget- equivalent to some of the baneling run-bys, or detonating banelings underground to a much lesser extent. Terrans already require a decent amount of micro to be effective, and Thors are high cost, supply, and health that when you move out with them, they have your attention.
PvT is completely broken rn and its way to easy for the terran to defend everything by just placing down a siege tank. Its also pretty ridiculous that hero put so much effort into harass but cant kill anything because it takes 3 adept shots to kill a scv like how tf is that fair at all?
titanic doo dooo for the ghost with no additional commentary or explanation was the funniest thing I seen all week😂
28:12 84 popVS 84 pop, result : 86pop VS18 pop... yeah, balance.
Just terran things and then they're going to whine on reddit that toss is op.
84 pop + about 30 scv, which took a ton of damage
The "my heart will go on" hums with the echo?! Peak starcraft 2 🤣

I have never fealt this christmas-cosy in my life as when Lowko sang a song to me in this video!
btw i saw a station named "nerf widow mines" in EVE online, so this "conversation" is far beyond forums and reddit xd
OF COURSE the EMP provided detection to win game two. What can't a Ghost do?
Its such a mary sue of a unit.
observer vs raven, scan, ghosts
I think the EMP should unburrow Zerg, like it stuns them slightly. It would help for burrowed infestors. lol

When you said see how much damage cure can do with this push. It sounded like you said with his bush 😂 love it
Beautiful micro by Hero in game 1

lol! love the new speed edits😂
that fourth game blink juggling tho so cool

27:17 : Poor ghost :(

i definitely would not want to be a prism in hero's army
Just imagine we are on the way to seeing Lowko become the next Artosis. I can't wait to see it.
To fix the issue with widow mine, all they have to do it nerf baneling again. That will fix it
Make it so Widow Mines can't recharge while unburrowed. That way it requires a few more actions and a bit more time to do follow-up drops
- do you want to see a magic trick?(c) lowko the biggest child
Hero’s nexus avatar looks like Lowko 😂
Hero had problems delivering damage even when in superior position, good control by Cure
Protoss weak
why no one ever loads all units up to boost and drop around the collosus? like in the first game there were only collosus by themself mostly
Protoss needs buff
Zerg needs buff(priority)
Terran needs nerf
Widow mines also move too fast, if they gonna nerf lurker speed cause it’s a siege unit that should be consistent

Protoss without air units seems destined to lose against Terran, if the Terran is around the same level
any flying unit in the game can be hard counter by terran viking easily
I think if herO had just been a bit less yolo about it at the end of game 2, he could've had a chance.
That probe passed or didn’t pass the IQ test 😅

EMP reveals cloak? Thats new to me

the IQ tests XD , lol good one loko
Yes.
Need new balance patch this is ridicilous ...
I don’t think I’ll watch any competitive Protoss play anymore. Even the best Protoss fold to mid teir terrans
Hero should have won game number 2
Ghost named Mary Sue counters all and has no counter. Terran easy mode remains ON.
Still no Protoss buffs? Alright, I’m out.
Terran widow mine >>>>>> anything
It's sad watching how weak protoss is.
...and has been sad for about two years (at least) 😢
Protoss needs some buff and Zerg for sure some nerf (queens and fungal)
Zaelots r too squishy
Most game p v anything is like winter early with lots of micro or slow dying due to how weak late p is😢
protoss need defensive spell to negate at least half of all the spell effect, anti armor, emp, matrix, fungal, neuro parasites
Poor Clem. The man has had to keep facing a bunch of laser shooting towers lately
🤣the 2nd game is so goofy
