They have gone from great to bad to worse. The most dirty road I have seen in last few years is the Darbar road leading to your Palace; garbage being collected at the centre of the tri-junction of Darbar road-Kanhaiya talkies. Your own palace which was once a clean and green heaven is now in a pitiable state. The Ram Dham, constructed by your forefathers and once a pride of Padrauna, connected with Lord Rama, is now a garbage dump. The Udit Narayan inter and degree colleges, again a gift from your forefathers are being run on adhok basis with adhok teachers (there is no M Sc Physics even after 70 years). Padrauna is still not on the main rail route (having been overlooked for GKP-Deoria and GKP-Kaptangunj-Bagaha routes); Sugar factory is closed for last more than 20 years......In a nut shell, we have seen only a degradation in Padrauna in all fields. Blaming Modi for Jumlabaji is all OK. Jumlabaji is a political compulsion. Indira ji started "Garibi Hatao" in 1973..an example. But, what Modi has achieved in 5 years is really commendable. Just venture out to any village near your palace. You will find Jan dhan yojna, 95% toilets, LPG gas for cooking. I send my maid's monthly pay into her account online. And perhaps, because of the above reasons, the once most lovable family of Padrauna is not being chosen for the Parliament. Lets be pragmatic. Kam bolta hai.
