"The Lilac" was written by the contemporary Russian composer Vadim Bibergan, inspired by the poem by Alexander Blok. The beautiful and very poignant music seems to embrace the essence of the Romanov children.
Such a lovely song. The actress and actor, who plays Olga and Nicholas, makes a beautiful duet. Though the duet with the two women who were accompanied by the Piano are lovely singers, I rather have the song played as a quartet by the four charming actresses who played Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia. It symbolizes that there were calmer, happier and carefree moments in a time of turmoil an the close bonds that the sisters and their family have. Such a beautiful, lovely song.
Hopefully those poor girls did have a few nice moments like the one in the video that brought them some happiness in their imprisonment before their lives were so sadly and cruelly taken
In our book, we have plenty of accounts that show how the girls managed to make the best of everything around them regardless of the places of their imprisonment. Yes, they were amazingly optimistic and joyful souls!
Same! I want to learn Russian. It is certainly one of those underrated languages because when you see it written, especially in Latin letters, it looks like a mess. BUT! It sounds so beautiful when spoken and sung in songs. It sounds so poetic. Gosh. Just thinking about Russian while writing this comment, I am eager to start learning the language soon! For me, it's like the French of Eastern Europe and since I've learnt French, it is then only natural I learn Russian lol. Красивый язык!
@@CaptainNoch I’m Russian from Canada I speak French and English (and Russian of course), I have a French friend and she’s started to learn Russian (I help her) and you know she’s very good. Try it!
Watched this movie a few months ago. have never seen such a historically accurate movie. And your biography videos are absolutely Unbiased ( probably the most unbiased historical channel I have come across) A little out of topic, the actress playing Olga is so beautiful that I can't take eyes off her 🥰🥰( very sharp and delicate features) and every actors were so ethereal 🤩. The song is so hauntingly beautiful. It makes me to think about the happy moments of the Romanovs before WW1 ( Perhaps the song symbolises this) . Sorry for the long comment 🙏
I was remember wondering about that song and wanted to learn it. I’m glad that you guys are in partnership with them.💓 They really got the movie on point. Love this so much!💗 God bless all.
Beautiful song what does it mean though...and ok who is the actor who plays the young Russian playing the Balalyka ? I hope that's the right spelling 💜 I've watched this movie twice and it brings me to tears each time 😥
Do you know the name of the lullaby that was written for Olga? I swear there was one for her about bluebirds, and I swear I've heard it, but I haven't been able to find it since I heard it the first time?
They Made a great choice when it comes to music, by the way what's the name of that Melody, the one that the Tsar played on the piano before they were taken to tobolsk, the one that was written by Misha in a tent using a guitar, I was very attached to that music, that I played in my grandfather's piano, even tough I don't know if the notes were correct, but they were very pleased.
