discord.gg/fq8CuecRqu I made a fan Megadeth server since the main one isnt active and doesnt allow messaging from users feel free to join the server and also talk about Megadeth and have fun and you can request videos as well :)
I’ve always loved the drumming in this track, especially during the verse section, very tricky guitar riff to work with but damn he fit in the groove just like a glove. It saddens me that some of the greatest musicians get taken from us way too soon, Gar Samuelson was and still is the real deal, true definition of a master at his own craft.
HE IS SO SMOOTH MAN, i got to talk to chuck behler recently, super cool guy, we got to nerd out on gars epic drumming, he would talk about how gar mentored him and how he could remember seeing him drumming away like a monster, every musician in megadeth is great
Can’t hear the beautiful triplet thing he did on the ride. That was the hardest thing to figure out when I learned this song. One of the most fun songs to cover imo.
This is mesmerizing. I can’t play drums to save my life so I can’t describe what Gar is doing but I am astonished at how springy and light these beats are, and that he can effortlessly shift from one part to another, with no apparent glitches. I am so glad you created and posted these videos because I would not pick up on all of what’s going on if I listen to the normal fully produced version of the song.
Baguette jokes aside ' this guy had the most important feature ' groove! fantastic musician How he used the air between notes and the swing in his timing was so natural ' r.i.p

That kick drum syncopation is off the scale. Nothing like it in metal. He's basically playing jazz snare / hi hat accents with his feet
FK YEAH MAN !!!! AMAZING!!!
Wow. Every single time I see a band photo of him, I can never get over the size of his Vic Firth sticks....
more like vic girth cause god damn
Gar was the best
YES
In the very early days of Thrash, nobody could touch him.
Dude !! Thanks for these!!! Been dying to hear some of these isolated tracks from the first record
ME TOO!!! I WAS LIKE ALRIGHT THEN ILL DO IT MYSELF! RIP GAR SAMUELSON, FUCKING LEGEND!!
Gar would’ve been huge. One of my all time favorites of the 80’s
He's amazing , RIP

Too bad this great drummer didn't get all the credit he deserves.
@@SINC0MENTARI0S I'm sure we can do something about it! That's why I posted these
Legend
HELL YEAH! RIP
Remember the '80s Kerrang had reader polls to vote for favourite drummer? Lars won every time over Gar ffs! Gar is so underrated it's criminal.
@@lanapearce9968 lol, gar is 1 million x better than Lars
Great tone 🥁🏆
YES I ALWAYS THOUGHT THE SAME, GAR DRUMS SOUNDS SO GOOD
OVERALL GREAT PLAYER AMAZING INCREDIBLE
Oh and ya thanks for doing this. Awesome stuff
My pleasure! :)
i hope u have a great day
My goodness this is unreal.
hahaha fuck yeahhhh
Sooo much compression on the hi hat/ cymbals. Otherwise great EQ and mix, sounding the drum kit is always the most important and the most work.
there is residual from the AI isolation
the real metal drummer GOAT for me. not lombardo.
