You absolutely have combat shotguns in the Goliath gang box. It's on the ganger, throwing the grenade, with it's stock folded up. You get two of those in the box. The ones that come in the upgrade sprue are actually normal shotguns.
Great content as usual. About the 'Useless Heavy flamers' in a few weapon upgrade sets: just think of them as sets of arms to hold other useful Heavy weapons, like for example you could easily convert the Delaque's Heavy flamer into a Multi melta. Anyway keep up the good work :)
Thanks for this video. It's helping understand just how much drilling and magnetizing I need to do....I'm really sick of magnetizing, and I still have two gangs to go.(( Great advice on the house books. I would say the books are as essential as the models themselves.
Why has VanSaar all the fun weapons? Whats with these guys? Can i loot them? When u said: you can play two deathmaidens but you will have no friends, my wife looked in my eyes and said: i need no friends, i got these ... Dire times my friend, dire times. Now i know what to do. I need more firepower for our campaign. Thanks for the guide and happy matariki
They defo look like boltguns to me..? but could be a case of them looking very similar perhaps? Either way that would probably make things easier if you want to use them as either as long as they are somewhat distinguishable from each other I suppose
@@wellywoodwargaming In the House of Chains it has a diagram of all the weapons and labels it as a combat shotgun. It's a... different looking one for sure, but also doesn't really fit a bolter either. The upgrade kit also lists those shotguns as just normal shotguns. Of course it doesn't matter, use what you want! Just if we're being technical.
You get two of those in the box, just chop the axe off and stick it to a left handed gauntlet with the pistol snipped off perhaps? Otherwise you could use the corpse grinder chain cleavers?
Might have your combat shotguns and normal shotguns around the wrong way, mate. Upgrade kits come with standard shotguns, initial box sets come with combat shotguns.
I'm not inclined to magnetize these but assume that WYSIWYG isn't a thing considering how likely one is to get new gear throughout a campaign 🤔. Do I need to model for the starting setup, or should I model aspirationally?
This is an excellent series, and a much needed comprehensive group of videos to help explain such a fantastic game.
Awesome. These vids are tipping me over the edge to get into Necromunda finally!
you need to remember that your different juves evolve to different types of gangers/champions so it depends on where you want your gang to go
HaHa the hoverboards are what me got interested in Van Saar! To each their own. Reminded me of Spider-Man's Green Goblin

I can also recommend the Van Saar Energy Shield Set from Forgeworld to add some more (total of 4) of those shields.
Great info as always. Really help with my decision making on what to by next. Thank you.

At some point it’s a question of how much is your time worth
As one considering diving in this was a most helpful presentation,
Well covered good sir.

No palanites? I know they're not technically not a gang per-se but they're what has peaked my interest in necromunda
This was just fir the house gangs mate
Super Useful!
Makes me want to get into necromunda, good video 👍👍
Do it and never look back
Nice breakdown. But the Goliath starter box does include 2 Combat Shotguns, and no Bolt Guns.

I'd 3D print green goblin from spiderman heads for the hover boarders.
Heavy Flamers ain't that poor now that Ash Wastes is out.
Wondering if any one had any ideas on how to model a a duel wielding chain axe redemptionist leader?

Bull grog had two chainsaws for hands. Try that for Goliath.
Hail all
Hail!

I usually go wysiwyg myself from the start and just end up buying or converting new gangers with new weapons later on, but totally up to you
What about Corpse Grinder Cults? I'm a total noob so sorry if the question is stupid :D
Ah yea a fellow kiwi wargamer!
Are you a Brit who moves to NZ? So confused by your accent mate.
I'm a Londoner who's been in NZ for 7 years and my family over here are all kiwis. Now in Australia
@@wellywoodwargamingof course you're in Australia now.
Highlander 2 was atrocious.
