It would come down to swordplay and abillities, the former going to Ky, and the latter going to Jin, though I'm inclined to say Ky would win more often than not.
@@code066funkinbird3 Depends on what you buy for Fate. I'm a big fan of Blazblue, so I'm inclined to say Hakumen because of how insane Blazblue gets with reality warping abilities, but Fate is also wild when it comes to that kind of stuff. I guess if I had to choose, I'd say probably Archer.
Funny to think that it took this long for Ky and Jin to get a track, but hey, better late than never! This is another matchup that hope becomes an actual matchup. Blazblue and Guilty Gear have had their leads fight it out before, might as well give their blue-clad rivals their shot.
Oh, a Guilty Gear track is always something appreciable. And this is no exception, that's a really nice song. It just radiates energy, joyfulness and heroism in it. It really feels like two heroes fighting one another for fun but also to protect the things they care about. The chorus (IE: 1:00-1:14) is a perfect example. It trades a bit of that lightheartedness to make the song much more epic than the rest of it, as if both fighters put decide to stop playing around for a moment and to get serious to try and finish the fight, something that's supported by a slightly more agressive guitar playing along with the chorus. However that guitar is, as said before, still playing along with the chorus and not overpowering it like it could easily do, making it seem as if even if the characters are going in seriously in those segments, they still contain themselves and aren't going all out. Which also makes the third arc of the song (which I'll come back to in a bit) even more interesting. It's also interesting to note that this song has a really "magical" feel to it at points, of course it's audible at all times but it's especially notable at some particular points (IE: 0:32-1:00) where the piano takes the lead of the song, making this "majestic"/"magic" feel stand out a lot. Now I feel like that's the right time to put the disclaimer that I don't know anything of the characters so I may say wrong things, but to me it really makes it seem as if those characters are either some types of wise mages and/or apart of nobility. Going back to what I said before about the final arc of the song (2:33-2:54/2:54-3:07/3:07-3:21/3:21-3:50), it's an exceptionally interesting part to me as it takes what I said earlier about the guitar feeling "contained" extremely well. Unlike the rest of the song, we get a whole segment that's way more agressive and violent than the rest of it at 2:33-2:54 where the guitar *does* overpower the rest of the chorus, as if each characters are letting go of their restraints in a fit of rage for a few seconds before slowly getting it back under control as the piano slowly comes back and it cuts back to the more heroic segments at 2:54-3:07/3:07-3:21 that makes use of the "pre-chorus" to signify that the two characters are back to their regular self and are ready to finish the fight. And finally we get the actual chorus at 3:21-3:50 but this time a version that's more powerful with a, while still in harmony with the main violin, more audible and imposing guitar, signifying that while the both of them still have control over their power unlike in their fit of rage earlier, they're giving much more of themselves to end this battle while still showing only their heroic and "noble" side. This is also well completed by the fact that, at the very end (3:50), we get one last violent guitar riff to signify one last brutal event done by one of them: the death. Overall when I first listened to the song I kept telling myself that this song, while extremely catchy and cool, was a bit generic. But upon listening to it a bit more I found out a lot of subtleties, especially regarding the use of the guitar in the main melody, that made me reconsider this a lot. As always regarding Guilty Gear tracks, this one is full of personality and uniqueness while also just sounding very cool overall. Amazing job as always with this.
