It might be different for everyone, but the one form the egg was male for me. Found the a female Eevee after staying in an S.O.S. battle for a while though :D My poor Snorlax had maxed out accuracy, attack and defense debuffs by the end of it lol

Neko Chan it's more rare than running into Chuck Norris at Big Foot's B-day while an Alien is using a Pogo Stick. Eevee is not rare, his encounter rate is just low. In X and Y, I ran into a Genesect on my first step in the grass.
I got an Eevee that way too! Is it random what Pokemon hatches from that egg, because it should be a pretty common Pokemon if it's always Eevee? Which i'm starting to think it's not.
Heads up for anyone trying to catch an eevee, the perfect Pokemon to use against an eevee without killing it is Cottonee. The one I have right now is a level 13 and the moves I use in order is Stun Spore, then leech seed, then either Fairy wind or mega drain. Once it's HP is at its low red I use the luxury ball. So far using Cottonee and the luxury ball I have caught each eevee I've come across. Hope this helps anyone 👍
I did this for five minutes and found a lgglybuff, caught it bye using rain dance then put it in a pokeball. A regular pokeball, my goomy almost made it faint when I used flail. This tip is helpful thanks. I caught eevee about fifteen minutes later.
you can also get an egg that hatches an Eevee from the daycare center. mine evolved into sylveon after lots and lots of attention. then I got my second one on route 6 and used a fire stone on him.
I have a bit of a warning for moon users you are going to have to wait until the day to catch an eevee trust me i wasted two hours trying to catch one of those at night finally caught one during the day

AbdallahSmash026 he needs some special moves because it has 3 special attacking moves (learned by level) even though his attack is 65 and his sp attack is 110. And to top it all off it has 6 physical moves and another 6 status moves (again learned by level)

I feel lucky. I found six Eevee's there, and I now have Vaporeon, Sylveon, Jolteon, Flareon and Leafeon. I am saving the last one so I can breed it.
