    D: I am sure you will do very well on your upcoming exan. Congratulations on your blessed new arrival. Your new German pieces, I think, are your best work perhaps. Well done! I hope you are able to attend the tournament and meet our Guru, Mr. Harris. All the best.

      Ben Moeller ...thanks so much for your on going suport and well wishes. I think I will agree with you on your assessment of the minis. I think these are probably the best I have painted and I hope that the lucky winner will enjoy the collection. Glad to hear from you again my friend and once again thabks for your support. Good to see you back, D-Troy. I watched this video yesterday and then poof it was gone. You did an awesome job on the painted pieces. If this prize is available and I get to select I'll be taking this one for sure.

      GeneralHandGrenade ....I am sorry about yesterday's video...unfortunately I failed to realize that there was too much ambient noise. So I decided to delete the video and post a new one. Thanks for your compliment and I wish you the best in the tournament.

    Beautiful job,,,hope to see you there in Toronto...Lepzig class light cruiser was 580 feet versus the Narvik class destroyer which was 420 feet

    • @axisallies-thegarrison2533
      @axisallies-thegarrison2533  7 лет назад +2

      Mark movel ....thanks Mark for your insight. I guess the Leipzig class light cruiser was indeed at least 160 feet longer than the Narvik class destroyers. For gaming purposes it kind of does bother me when my game pieces are not proportional to each other. It takes away from the realism that proportion brings to the game when playing.

    Great job brother! As we talked about, as a constructive criticism that you asked for, the white drybrushing is a slight hair too much, in my opinion, but don't get me wrong, the pieces look Amazing.
    The Panzer Grey and late war looks great!
    Late war German camouflage is sometimes referred to as Dunkelgelb (Dark Yellow).
    It is a tri-color scheme, the other colors are Olivgrun(olive green)
    and Rutbraun(red brown).
    Very late in the war, supplies were short and some camouflage was done in only two tones.
    Infantry looks good, I like the different tones on the gear, epilettes and collars, great detail work.
    The Kriegsmarine looks good!
    I think the "super" battleships of Gerrmany were scrapped or halted as Germany needed the steel in other areas like subs, and armor.
    "Okay, now thats just not fair!"
    The luftwaffe are not actually miniatures, but rather look like a real squadron just landed. Those planes are simply amazing!
    The "weathering" on the units is a great effect that can bring realism and an "action" look into the piece.
    A match of A&A, You and your son meets myself and my boy.
    We'll make it happen brother!
    Great to have The Garrison out there again.
    Best wishes to you and your wife and family on the upcoming arrival of your son.
    If future fortunes hold that you are able to go to YG's tournament then I will be in A&A heaven with lots of You Tubers there, the man himself, Larry Harris, and the "godfather" of A&A You Tube!
    Talk to you soon brother!

      The BIG 'E' A&A ....I am glad that you liked the painted game pieces and that you approve of them. Your opinion is very much appreciated as well as your insight and recommendation. You are an experienced painter and what you have to say does matter.
      I do look forward to making the trip and meeting you as well as the other guys. It will be quite a moment and not one that I will forget. Also, thanks for the well wishes and with God's favor my wife will deliver a beautiful healthy little boy. We can wait for Jeremy to make his arrival.

Great to see ya back, I can't make it to the tournament 'cuz stupid work, but I'm gonna watch the hell outta whatever is posted. Great job on painting the pieces, I really dig the weathered look. I finally posted my Engineer Rules video if ya wanna check it out, but it's only for '42 2nd Edition since I haven't had time to download and print and magnetize YG's map. I'm glad to see you're happy and healthy my friend!

      WarParty! At the Outpost I think its a pretty cool looking miniature. I enjoyed painting that particular miniature, it has allot of built in detail which makes it more enjoyable when painting.

    Haha! I was just thinkin' how they used the 88 as an anti-tank weapon! Wonder if there is a way to work that inta our house rules...

    Ze Germans couldn't spare the steel for a super battleship 'cuz they needed it for tanks and planes. They never really had an impressive navy 'cuz they were locked in a land war on two fronts. The Japanese on the other hand, were almost the reverse, having an impressive navy but very little in the way of tanks.

    • @axisallies-thegarrison2533
      @axisallies-thegarrison2533  7 лет назад +1

      WarParty! At the Outpost ....Yes, the Germans simply did nit have the resources to fight all of its enemies. The geographical location of Germany in Europe did not help out either. Geography, lack of resources and a crazy madman as dictator all combined to bring about the defeat of Germany.
