Thank you for being such an invested dad! Unfortunately I just don’t see this enough from dad’s and I applaud you.
4:21 Outgoing orders stacked next to the trash - You are a brave, brave person.
I was thinking the same thing. Also boxes set up on a cart, perfectly placed for a drive by grab. Dave is way more trustworthy than I am.
Hi Dave. You should take some pictures of the Holy Family blowmolds in the storage container as people in cold weather zones put up their displays as soon as Halloween is over so they are ready in the event of bad weather and blizzards .
Just go ahead and leave that blow mold nativity scene in the shipping container. Why on earth would you want to list that silly thing at the beginning of fourth quarter?
😂
I got my death pile down to 105 totes I've actually stop buying & working on my death pile and my cash surplus has really got larger. I hit a garage sale randomly but anything I buy I immediately list on eBay the same day
This sounds like a great idea. Get the pile down and sell new items immediately. I don't resell, but death piles makes me nervous to watch...LOL.
Dave you, said it yourself, you’re losing money on whatnot. Why give away stuff on whatnot for $3 when you know it sells for $20 on eBay?
You spend a lot on shelving in your garage and shipping container. Where did you buy those shelves? The only way you’ll make any progress is to stop buying and that isn’t going to happen , is it Dave 😂😂 I’m in the same predicament. 😂😂
That spider was an orb weaver. Completely harmless to humans but great for keeping bug population down. They're everywhere in Florida.
Are those nativity blow molds I see up on the shelf in your shipping container? Get listing your Christmas items along with toys! You would make more money spending that “what not” auction time on listing your valuable items on eBay- Unless your seeing really good profits in your auctions.
Callie is really blessed to have a Daddy like you💙!
Excellent advice
Dave you need to rent another Van and go back and get lots more of the Comics. That is an opportunity you don’t find very often. Watched your Death Pile blog. I’ve been selling 29yrs on EBay only. Greatly still enjoy it but we all have Death Piles. Not everything we buy is going to see right away. So we store it. And forget it. Always about the hunt for New. What Not good for you. Not for me. Good Luck Dave! Char
get those jesus blow molds out of there, there kind of like actiion figures
Hope your regular mail person gets a Christmas bonus for being a proactive service worker for you guys.
I am so excited to see you go into that container and pull some stuff out of there to list.
Did I see a fog machine on your top shelf on the left side? Saw the word fog written on a black box looking item...that would sell quickly this time of year
Like we say at Wally World costumers don’t shop the back room, if they can’t see it and they can’t buy it
Hi Dave, may I get first dibs on your Nativity set? Keep on keeping on with those sales. I saw it in your storage container. Please let me know. TYVM!
Dave, I saw that nice blow mold nativity set on your top shelf. Get that listed before the holidays!
Ive been a mailman for 8 years and we don’t get any type of bonus or extra commission for package pickup but if by some reason we do I need back pay 😂😂
I am sure your daughteer, Callie, is so excited to go to the movie with her Dad! I really enjoy hearing about parents spending time with their children. They learn from us and we can learn from them. Thanks for sharing!
Dave, since I’m your number one cheerleader I think you should let me come and pick from your container, I will bring plenty of cash! I’m a new reseller and this is exactly what I’m looking for!!! I’ll teach you about glass and pottery and you can teach me about action figures 😂
Fun vid idea; Dave picks style vid where you try to find/pick your top 20 most valuable items in the shipping container
Nice job with Callie. The only thing better than listing action figures for Christmas is, listing blow mold nativity sets.
That is an entire year worth of inventory. That is basically what I spent the whole year doing, not really sourcing at all.
Hey Dave! Glad you finally made it to the container way past time 🤷🏼♀️ That prolonged Florida heat is NOT good for most items. You and Tina are great parents! Callie is so sweet 🤗
Perfect time of the year to sell those Christmas blow molds.
What about the nativity blow molds? Christmas is coming. You should list those.
Dave Now is the time to list those beautiful blow molds on the top shelf
Are you still live streaming your auctions on here? Really enjoy watching them? If so were can I find them?
He switched the channel from live-streaming auctions to theme park stuff. The channel is named park pursuit
I've seen it before and here again you show us how perceptive you are with your children. Taking Callie to the Paw Patrol movie is one of the sweetest things I have heard of recently! Good for you!!!
$20K 90 Day Total. Decent numbers for a fake reseller. Lol. Keep grinding, man.
Ex Mail lady here!
If your mail man wears a uniform, they’re a “city carrier”, if they wear plain clothes they’re a “rural carrier”. They have different unions, different rules to follow, different pay structures etc. We all basically get paid according to how “big” your route is…ie how much mail to deliver and pick up. We’re taking how many pieces of paper mail, bulk mail (grocery store ads etc) and packages. If your carrier is a rural carrier (no postal uniform on) then they participate in “count” annually or every couple of years depending on growth. That determines how much salty they get paid for their route…not hourly. This is extremely important to be accurate on because rural carriers often work many more hours than they get paid for being based on salary. City carriers get paid hourly. Scheduling a pickup is helpful to the rural carriers as they can document the average work load they have throughout the year and actually get paid for it. It helps everyone to know that they have that coming up and need room in the truck, overall timing and planning for your day out on the street….that is when it’s a big load like you’ve got in the video.
They may have a ton of parcels for your neighborhood and would rather deliver them then swing around for your pickups to be able to organize the vehicle better.
That being said, no one gets a bonus in any way for pickups…they can get paid for the work they’re *actually doing instead of what the route looked like, say, 5 years ago…as things change often.
It would be most helpful to:
If city carrier: bring to the post office yourself or schedule a pickup (it is sort of their job and they get paid hourly).
If rural carrier: schedule pickups regularly so they get paid accordingly when it comes time for count.
For everyone though, it helps to know you’ve got a shit ton of packages to pickup on any given day so you can plan your route.
I hope this helps! Love the videos Dave, thank you!
If you grade those comics, you are not going to get them back for about a year. So it is a long term investment. Trust me. I've been there. I sent out an Adventure into Fear #19, first appearance of Howard the Duck, I thought it was at least mid grade. Came back a year later are a 3.0. I basically ended up selling it for the price pressing and grading.
We had a wolf spider recently in our deathpile bay as well. I can relate to falling behind on listing.
Dave, I work for USPS and can tell you about your carrier and packages. There is NO BONUS. There is however a route credit that may be assigned so that your carrier’s work hours properly align with the amount of work they have. If you live in a city, you have a city carrier who gets paid an hourly rate and on days where there are more pickups and deliveries they are permitted to work the amount of hours needed. That being said, it is better for them to know you have a pick-up so they (and their manager/supervisor) know how many hours the route might take them that day. There are always unknowns, but it is better to know with a pick-up. Also, if they do not have a delivery for you (which is a lot more comment these days) they may not know you have a pickup and may not pick it up at all. Hope this helps.
Dave, what I heard was if you schedule a pickup, they get a few more minutes paid on the clock, that’s why it’s important to not only schedule, but also try and be accurate about how many boxes you have, because twenty boxes take a lot longer to scan and pickup than just five boxes. So they don’t get a bonus, they’re just getting more paid time on the clock. Hope that makes sense 😊👍
You make me feel a LOT better about my death pile!🤣
I was told the pickups get them the extra. That it didn't even matter so much how many packages, just how many scheduled pick ups they complete. So even when I'm running late I try to get at least one package in the box to be picked up everyday, even if I have to run the rest in by close.
The postal carrier does not get a financial bonus for picking up packages. The carrier is an hourly wage employee. Even if you request a package pick up they do not receive anything financial except their hourly wage. It is part of their job.
The paw patrol story melted my heart, no shame in being 9 and wanting to see something you are into. Shoot, I still like to see kids movies and I am 38. Thanks for always being a great dad :D I remember stories like that about my dad, I'm sure she will remember this too :)
Callie likes Paw Patrol, just like adults still like Ninja Turtles. Same thing, different decade.
Glad to see your stuff in the storage container wasn't damaged by the Florida heat. That Mickey Mouse thing is creeping me out!
What happens to all the inventory you spent money on throughout the year but hasn't sold by tax time. For example if you spent 7000 worth of stuff in 2023 that hasn't sold by the end of 2023 tax season , would that be filed as a loss.
Spider was Def not a wolf spider. it's a black and yellow garden spider or 2nd largest orb weaver in northwest ohio
Just fun facts to know and tell :)
I know what ur saying about ages and siblings my youngest 7 oldest 26 middle 17 😮😅😂❤
No! Don’t leave your packages by the mailbox if your trash is right there! Put your flag up with a note on it that says “Pkgs at Front Porch” and then hey will see it and pick them up. Put a sandwich baggie over the note since it rains so much! I would never leave my packages out at the street for someone to possibly steal!!
I’m a newer viewer. What is the story of the shipping container? How did you obtain all that?
when i sell raw comics, i do low, mid and high grade and have never had a promblem selling them on ebay just take lots of pictures. now with grading, when you go cleaning, pressing and then grading the comics you might not get the books back for many months
You are a great dad!!
Didn’t know post office delivery people get bonuses to pick up packages.
Have had bad luck here in Jacksonville getting packages picked up so quit requesting package pickups.
Got a really nice USPS new kid in my neighborhood so will ask him about it.
It's a Banana Spider, Wolf one is gray and hairy and hunts in a pack hence the Wolf Spider's name.
Those comic buys definitely happen... not all the time, but they do happen.
Something I do with large comic lots: If I'm interested in 30% or more of the collection, I ask for a price on everything. Transportation? At those prices UHaul is your friend, or a local comic shop can help store them.
You should list that Blow-Mold Nativity set soon as it WILL sell for Christmas 🎄
You may want to keep the nativity blow molds for your own decoration . Are you selling it or keeping it. Everyone saw it on the top shelf in storage.
Its the perfect time to list that blow mold nativity set on the top shelf
What a great Dad moment Dave!
Kudos to you Dad!!! Your parenting skills are top notch.
mail carriers do not get bonus for package pickups were did you hear that, totally false
your usps info is incorrect. we get a yearly wage based on 8hrs work for 8 hrs pay. no extra money for extra work unless it goes into overtime. that is also based on our negotiated wage.
A desthpile is an insurance. There could be 100 reasons why you cant get new inventory. Only reason to end the pile are the rent for the Container
Awesome video Dave action figures are amazing, so happy that you and Callie are having Daddy daughter day at movies😊💐 good luck with your sales 💐
Quick question where do you find community sales in florida
A financial bonus for picking up packages 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I’m a mail carrier. The postal service cuts our money any way they can. We definitely do not get a bonus of any kind for doing anything. It’s one of the most thankless jobs as far as the company towards its employees.
I wonder what my mailman is talking about !
You need to list those blow molds up
Cancelations are insane for me lately. killing my week because ebay still counts them as a sale and drops off traffic 😡
@@ryanglaser5336 you noticed this crap too? Ebay is giving me blockbuster vibes.
You're such a good dad, Dave, to tell your daughter you want to see Paw Patrol so she wouldn't feel bad. Have fun at the show! Also, to cancel an item on Bonanza, you have to send a message to the buyer that you have to cancel the item and then send them a refund in PayPal. It's a pain but that's the only way (I emailed customer service once about it). Good vid as always! Cindy
The mail carrier does not get any bonus for pickups. They get credit on their route evaluations for the time it takes to scan the pickup request. Otherwise, they are losing time on how long it takes to do the pickup. Who started the rumor they get "bonuses"?😂😂😂 If you don't do a pickup, you are making them work for free. Do you people work for free?😅
FYI. Only management ever gets bonuses. Usually, for restricting lower level employees for getting paid for hours worked. During the pandemic, we all worked the entire time. No incentive or bonuses at all.
locker nuts knows a little about comics mabye he can help you he just bought a huge amount
Dude, the way to do death pile is… start from the beginning of the first shelving unit, work your way all the way until to end that shelf, next, next, and next until you are done. Doesnt matter what is next you grab it and list it
List those blow molds. Christmas is coming!!
I thought you were going to set up an air conditioner in the storage container…? You commented how hot it was..
Do you post on facebook Marketplace ? If so do you use a service to post to groups ?
When you set down the camera where is the humming coming from
You are a great dad! Enjoy Paw Patrol!
Yes you can schedule a pick up on Saturday.
That is my favorite beef jerky!!!!!
As long as WhatNot doesn't eff up again like it did tonight, I'll be there for the action figure auctions :)
Hope not. Again, I’m sorry about that! Thanks for your support
What's your referral for bonanza?
List the Nativity blow mold set!!
Looks like the Goodwill near me!!
I rarely schedule a pickup...just tape a note on the inside if my mailbox asking to "Please pick up packages on porch"...works for me everytime.
Im to paranoid about porch pirate ( my package was stolen before). So I have to request them to knock on doors.
That is not a wolf spider lmao
Dave, why not go back and buy out the rest of the comics since they're clearly available? Sounds like the opportunity of a lifetime is waiting for you. ✌
they are not available to me anymore
@@ADHDaveFlips Noooooooo! UGH☹
Banana spider not wolf
Still open to a bulk hat/clothing buy....Woulda bought all those gators items for essentially your AVG sell price on what not...one and done! CLEAR IT OUT BROTHER, I believe in you.
TRAIN DERAILMENT!!🤣🤣🤣
Dave you may think u have the ultimate death pile, one day if you come up to Jacksonville again I’ll show you my 2000 square foot building packed to the rafters. Love your content! MartyMart Jax FL
Hey Dave! I was a letter carrier for 20+ years. I will tell you that we don't get any financial bonus for picking up parcels from customers. We just get paid our hourly rate. At one time, when we first started parcel pickup, if we had customers begin using the parcel pickup feature, we would get a pat on the back and a letter of appreciation.
Have fun at the movie!
Monday is a holiday.
I hope you are enjoying your new full-time job as a reseller. Now sounds like the perfect time to get that death pile down. I have never resold, but I know myself...a death pile would drive me crazy and I'd feel guilty looking for new stuff. That's why I'd make a lousy reseller, I guess. Action Figures, Toys and Christmas items sound like good things to list at this time of year.
Still waiting to hear of something on "My shelf" sale so I can hear Dave say. This item is on the "Gator Flips" shelf... Woo hooo!! Fingers crossed. I'm thinking their might be long tail items on there and I will never hear it... bummber.
We get credit for package pick-ups, be sure to schedule a pickup online :) I enjoy your videos. keep up the good work! :)
So if I do not schedule it but they pick it up anyways do they get credit?
Yes, we do. It's just best to have the paper so the carrier knows to stop. Some carriers WON'T stop unless they have a pick-up slip.@@ADHDaveFlips
You may already be aware but just a reminder Monday is a holiday for USPS so anything you may have for pickup after Saturday won't be picked up until Tuesday.
Hey Dave keep in mind that Bonanza charges you the selling fees at the end of the month and it’s not part of the fees they deduct before sending your funds to PayPal. I just got a bill from bonanza for all the selling fees from September
Dave I've been wondering if you ever sold or even listed those rainbow vacuums. Nope saw them on your top shelves in your storage unit 😅😅 get those posted on ebay, worth a lot and I sold mine very quickly when I found one;)
If he’s a rural carrier his route can go up in pay If he picks up the packages from your house. It would be best to submit a package pickup online.
Love Callie. She looks like a lot of fun.❤
I saw so many blow molds on the shelf that you should list now.
I know.. I should
Yes my post person told me she gets paid for walking to the package to pick it up. Idk if a pick up has to be scheduled first or not. I could ask her.
my 90 day is stuck at 22, I can't seem to get it to break higher.
I have a basement death pile! Do you think all resellers are hoarders 🤣. Love your vids! Sunflower Flipper 🌻🌻
I thought the exact same thing. LOl
