Only Calvert-lewin from this u20's squad has actually made it into the senior English team Out of 3 world cup winning England youth teams, and one European cup winning team only Mount foden and Calvert-lewin have played and took part in the Euro's mainly as squad players apart from Mount. they have about 30 young players from these squads who can't even get into the team. some of them now play for Championship sides.
England were more physical and played long balls from the goalkeeper to score. Which is fair enough, it's good tactic when it works. However i feel this physical advantage evens out with age, when there are no agegroups and all players are professional.
Here's hoping these young lads get given a decent chance in the Premier League and not just snubbed for mediocre foreign players, forcing them into the lower leagues where they'll drift off into obscurity.
