Awesome video Rich. You sure highlight the “power” of this software package. I wasn’t aware of all the file management tools. Thanks for the informative video. Dave.
Wow! I'm so glad I found you by accident while searching for a particular issue. I have had various versions of ACDSee for years and never knew about all of those functions! I've agonized with Photoshop and go back and forth because I find it so much more difficult than ACDSee. With your excellent instructions, I will definitely explore ACDSee's functions. Do you have other videos about it? Thank you so much!
I'm happy that you enjoyed the Manage Mode tutorial. I also have videos on Edit Mode and Develop Mode for ACDSee. Thank you for questions and comments and thank you for viewing.
Late to the party, but I have a question. Almost all of my images have good keywords, but I'm wondering how you use categories and collections in addition to or instead of keywords. And more importantly, categories vs collections. They seem to be the same to me. Great video. Thanks
I use categories as a way to group subject matter without being too specific. For example, Family, Animals, Seasons... Keyword assignments may not mention these specific things but I can add images to a category if it is appropriate. I use collections when I'm making a video or preparing a presentation. The collection gathers the images that I will be using and may have a variety of categories and keywords. The collection has all the materials easily accessible without a search. I wouldn't use a keyword for making an image a part of preparation, since the process would probably be temporary. I could probably use keywords instead of categories, but my keywords are usually more specific. I think the developers made the program flexible enough so each user could find a combination of tools that would be useful for their method of organization. Thank you for questions and comments and thank you for viewing.
@@MontanaMonk thanks, that must be a new feature, because in the second to last version the database was not adopted in the new version, I should have converted it
Excellent overview thank you, a few points I was not aware of, thanks
