Man, that feller/buncher cuts the trees right off at the ground. Working that D6 hard, banging into the hidden stumps so you can see them to pop them out with the 330. Hard work for both machines. Enjoying the content. Thanks for letting us look over your shoulder. (I can't even imagen try to clear up this mess with either of the 220s. The 330 was definitely a good addition to your toolbox.) Brutus is a nice name for the 330.
Hello Art, Watching Chris get banged around hitting stumps he didn't see made me wonder why these large feller bunchers and tree processors couldn't attach 4' up from the base of a tree and apply fulcrum advantage to shake the trees left right front and back to break loose the stump roots and just lift them up all in one piece, turn and set them down and then slide down to the tree base and cut the stumps off and windrow the logs? It would require more machine time for each tree but be much easier to create log landings for trucks and less wear and tear on skidders and be much faster and so cost efficient overall. I have never operated a feller buncher so have no idea if this would work but it would make it easier for Chris and others who deal with the mess.
I watch a few of the RUclipsrs who do this kind of work & have seen them comment that when customers get the mulching crews in first to clear things thinking they making things easier they are actually making it much harder with the stumps ground off to the ground.
@@RAYAR54obviously it’s his, bought and paid for, so he can call it Brutus or Clara bell or whatever he wants, I guess my attempt at humor isn’t appreciated by everyone 🤷♂️

@@gravelydon7072 yeah, when that one popped out I was like "wholey mackerel that's a hell of a stump". You know before OTR trucking got air ride seats and cushioned suspensions the truckers use to wear weight lifter kidney belts to save them the pain and damage. It may be time to invest in a thumb for Brutus. I'm curious to know how Uncle John is feeling about your success. You are going great guns; if anything, you are growing outside your ability to do all the work yourself with Robert's help. Keep on giving it! Would it be easier to have you log and clear land that is going to be developed? Tipping the tree over with those monster stumps would be easier than trying to get them out of the ground later.
The size of some of those root balls the 220 would have had to dig a hole around them & then take them out in pieces .Big brutus showing its power & saving valuable time .
Man Chris! Near the end of the video you pulled a couple of monster size stumps and the Hyundai didn’t even break a sweat. Incredible power. What a great choice you made. Well done sir.
For you to write an ugly comment like that to someone you don’t even know shows you are an empty vessel. I hope you find God and repent because you will be judged.
A mate of mine in NE Alabama used all the pulled stumps on his land to make a stock proof windbreak 8-10 feet high along the windward property line. This was in 2012 & it's working even better now stuff's growing in it.
@@snappingbear 11 years so far. Smaller roots have rotted but the whole thing now resembles a huge hedge from all the stuff growing in it, which he gives a hard cut every winter.
When you were using the stumping tool on the smaller 180, or whatever it is, it did not seem to save that much time or work. On the 330 it's like digging up weeds, works awesome. guess it's just a matter of the right tool for the right job. Keep the videos coming.
Those two stumps 😢 from tl 26:00-30:00 were gigantic. Especially the first one. It had to have been at least half the size of the dozer 😮😳 That’s just impressive how fast the 330 took care of both of them ❤
@@mikeznel6048That completely depends on the size of the excavator. Those stumps may have tipped either of his 220s so by your definition they'd be big stumps. Are there stumps that would tip a 750? Nope, there are none within thousands of miles that could do that.
Before losing my property to a wildfire, I had hundred year old pines with trunks every bit of 3 to 4 feet wide. The tree tops got too hot so the pines died but the fire did little harm to the trunks. They came in and cut the trees down but left the massive stumps. I cleared an acre by using a backhoe to dig out around the stumps, chain sawing to a foot or two below ground and then burning what was left using the brush left over. It took months since I couldn’t afford to have someone come in with a large excavator and stump it. My neighbor didn’t have his trees cut but rather had them come in with two D9 dozers and push them over and pile them into huge piles and burn them. If I’d had the money, that looked to be the better method. My other nine acres have some huge stumps that will probably be there for decades. But 12 years later the pines are getting up there. Another 30 or 40 years it will be beautiful property again. Ill be long gone, but I hope some one enjoys them.
Hey Chris, Enjoy your videos as always. The way you position the camera on the D-6 reminds me of when my uncle would let me ride on his dozier. It had a screen on the back. I would tick my fingers through the screen and sit on the tank, and hold on. Thanks for bringing back those memories.
hey Chris, another great video as usual, just a thought with your D6 there, I think it would be a good idea to put an extension on the exhaust pipe to get the fumes up and away from the cab, just up to the height of the protection bars, I've worked with diesel engines for most of my working life and my lungs are pretty shot now, I wouldn't want you to be in the position I'm in now, inhalers and steroids every day just to breath, I don't think it would cost too much, just thinking of your health and wellbeing!

@Mike-hs8fq : I completely agree, and the comments that short exhaust stack draws aren't gonna treat Chris for whatever lung problems breathing diesel exhaust fumes (and the unburned droplets, soot, ash, etc.), are going to cause him, in the long term. Mango Bango, that stump @ about 29:00 was one big bubba stump. Like comedian Fluffy says, it's DAMN big beyond fluffy. Stumpin' a dozer humpin' is got to leave Chris's body jellied inside alots of aching muscles and joints with all that rockin' and blincing around. Lucky for us we get to just sit, watch and enjoy his episodes. Can't wait for the pond part to start.
Nice brother, that 330 does the trick. Betty aint no slouch either. I am sill impressed at how well she starts. Those two and your expertise makes quick work of the stumps. A couple of them would have worked the Volvo.
Looks like you’re going to have a lot of stumps to burn and not much to burn them with. Your 330 sure does make quick work of those stumps. It would have taken a lot longer to pop some of them out with your other excavator.
THE new skid steer looking mighty awesome last job u finished up. That 330 is just a beast of a MEACHINE. Keep up the amazing FANTASTIC PHENOMENAL JOB that u r doing.
The Hyundai 330 didn't appear to even break a sweat getting some of those stumps out near the end of the video, and some of those were massive. I know the Hyundai does not have all the bells and whistles or reputation or cost of the Volvo. But I have only ever heard good things from those who operate the Hyundai's. Reliability wise they are very very good from what I am told. It appeared at least with doing those stumps and it not even breaking a sweat. That going the Hyundai way instead of the others was a wise choice and investment. Another awesome video Chris and thank you for all your efforts in making these so you can share part of your days with us :)
Good evening young man , just a thought sir. I done a lot of stumping with a 225 and Nye Grapple. I had very good luck using the machine as a lever (setting grapple on stump and tacking forward) was a lot easier on the machine. Sure as heck am impressed with your abilities, mind set, and knowledge of operating. This worked for me here in Michigan and I know different ground, different machines mean a lot. Follow you all the time and really enjoy your videos. Thank you for taking us along.
I think you'd still be digging out those huge stumps if you were using one of the 220s. The 330 made it look relatively easy even with how big both of them were.
Yup the 330 is doing it's job it's making your life alot easier and the job progresses along the next up grade should be a bigger dozer great video thanks Chris
If you do decide to have a thumb put on that machine, you might see if they make a thumb with Removable tines or easily swapped out attachment. Then you could have a multi tine or a single heavy tine for splitting stumps.
Nice work. That 330 is doing the job. Thanks for sharing with us, Chris. Oh did you & Clint come to an agreement about the D7? 😁😁When are we going to get to see it?🤣🤣Thanks, Chris.
I swear that dozer starts up before it makes a full revaluation & it's one thing about the old iron they don't want die ! @Chris I just hope when you get in your 60's your not bad like i am with arthritis in every joint it hurts to open your hands or move your arms ! I earned mine from few years dragging jackhammer along the roads all over this county from age 18-22 !
Back to stumping. Yes, thank the Lord ( and the earth`s tilt) for the cooler weather - glad we had high temps below 90F today in N. Fla. You should be 6-8 weeks from your first frost in your part of Carolina. Wilma dozer performed well with that cold start. So its official that Brutus is the name of the H 330?
Mind you a fire don't cost anything to run once you get it going just means that you have to feed it but if you had a chipper that would take a stump you would have to feed that anyway but a fire will take care of itself most of the time so you can continue with other things while it's burning just needs to be added to and move what is left around the outside into it makes it easier as what is around the side of the fire will probably be dry after being in the heat so gives a good boost for the next heap pilled on top stack the stumps around the side of the fire on side wind is blowing so that they are going to become part of the fire when they get hot enough and start to burn you can then add on top of them
About how long is your older 220 going to be in the shop for the under carriage work? Are you going to take it to the farm for a while when you get it back or is the Hyundai going to be your farm darling when it's not on a job site? You could turn your farm into a lake with that beast on it.😂 Take care and God Bless ya Chris!!!❤😊
I had an interesting convo with my Dr a while back. He had just finished with another gentleman before seeing me and he asked me he usual, whats bothering you today. Not surprised he simply shook his head and said what's with all you guys wearing our your hips, especially the right one?. Well doc, have you ever spent hours on end operating farm equipment or heavy machinery was my reply. Ya see doc, all the plows, balers and other pull behinds has to be monitored by looking over the right shoulder and by doing so, its necessary to shift our hips in the seat for a better view. My dad wore our both hips and knees early (normal replacements start at age 60 and only allowed 2 per life time). Running scrapers and bulldozers all his life took a toll. Be sure to check if your insurance covers this or has special amendments to cover this type of abuse on your body. That day I took the Doctor to school, unfortunately nothing they can do for me at this time, so its live with a heating pad glued to my arse.

The 330 is a beast 💪 it pulls the stumps up with hardly any problems. I'm glad to see 👀 that you are uprooting the stumps in record time. Maybe later on, you can put a thumb on.
Totally love watching the 330 dig stumps 😊
Mango Bango, that stump @ about 29:00 was one big bubba stump.
Like comedian Fluffy says, it's DAMN big beyond fluffy.
Stumpin' a dozer humpin' is got to leave Chris's body jellied inside alots of aching muscles and joints with all that rockin' and blincing around.
Lucky for us we get to just sit, watch and enjoy his episodes.
Can't wait for the pond part to start.
the D6 and 330 with stumper are just the beasts you need to clear this land, great video
🎶 Di do do dooh 🎶
I'll name that tune in... 😂
I hope I'm not the only one but I love the D6. That jewel never fails to get-er-done!
THE new skid steer looking mighty awesome last job u finished up. That 330 is just a beast of a MEACHINE. Keep up the amazing FANTASTIC PHENOMENAL JOB that u r doing.
That set-up cleans the stumps a lot better.
If you had to do that all the time , you'd have to have a good back doctor on retainer , good luck and God bless .
Wow! Love seeing the 330 tug on those biggins! Keep it up Chris
Wow the bigger equipment makes those stumps jump out
Pleased the new to you equipment is working out good for you Chris , it sure is ripping out those big stumps !!! Thanks mate🤗🍺
Everything seems to be running well. Making big changes everywhere you go.
I must say Chris , it looked like you were pulling out twigs the way that machine tore through those stumps. Great to see.
I bet this project will have another stump mountain!
Looks like a lot of good dirt for a pond . Need Robert on this project lol
Would have loved to have seen that big 500 series Volvo you have a few months back with that stumper on it. I bet that would have been something.
28:50… that stump high in the air would make a great thumbnail Chris… it was HUGE.
That stumper sure is doing what you got it for. Some of those stumps looked like they were as wide as your tracks. Wow!
If you do decide to have a thumb put on that machine, you might see if they make a thumb with Removable tines or easily swapped out attachment. Then you could have a multi tine or a single heavy tine for splitting stumps.
Not many stumps equals big woods and big stumps.
Nice work. That 330 is doing the job. Thanks for sharing with us, Chris. Oh did you & Clint come to an agreement about the D7? 😁😁When are we going to get to see it?🤣🤣Thanks, Chris.
You guys sure like your ponds down there, lol. Nice job as always.
車系建設機械~整地~運搬~積み込み~掘削~働くユンボですね。コマツ建機ですかねぇ。お仕事ご苦労様です。💪💪
With the right equipment it sure makes a difference in the amount of work you can get done. It's looking good.
I just love it when 🉐Chris says or have sings “duh dut do do”.
Those two toys play well together bro, the 330 is making short work of digging out stumps. Safe travels. Ken.
Love the video Chris your a master at your art,.
It just occurred to me that you've got quite a multinational machinery out there...... ☺☺
Looks like you are enjoying the new machine.
Another fun day to watch Chris have a good day on the clearing job. Glad to be along with.
Mind you a fire don't cost anything to run once you get it going just means that you have to feed it but if you had a chipper that would take a stump you would have to feed that anyway but a fire will take care of itself most of the time so you can continue with other things while it's burning just needs to be added to and move what is left around the outside into it makes it easier as what is around the side of the fire will probably be dry after being in the heat so gives a good boost for the next heap pilled on top stack the stumps around the side of the fire on side wind is blowing so that they are going to become part of the fire when they get hot enough and start to burn you can then add on top of them
Man i dont know what you paid for that D6 but she is still a strong work horse for sure. I like how fast it starts too. Very nice.
Wow!! I mean just holy .... that was a STUMP that machine just yanked. Jeff could have used that for a new island in his little pond.
That Stumping attachment on that Hyundai is down right Plucky!
About how long is your older 220 going to be in the shop for the under carriage work? Are you going to take it to the farm for a while when you get it back or is the Hyundai going to be your farm darling when it's not on a job site? You could turn your farm into a lake with that beast on it.😂
Take care and God Bless ya Chris!!!❤😊
The two machines are like they was meant to be together, but I bet you done wishing there was a thumb on there
I had an interesting convo with my Dr a while back.
Those timber fallers need to have a heart and leave a little taller stump for land clearing projects. You shouldn't have to go on an Easter Egg hunt to find stumps. That being said, you do have a knack for finding the stumps.
They want every board foot they can get
Love hearing the D6 start up and run....
man i love that big excavator it’s so cool. save up and get you a thumb it would make it unstoppable
The 330 is making short work of some big stumps, well done Chris
Good morning Chris❤🎉😊
Does the stumper attachment have sharp leading edges that cut the roots ? It's certainly a great device ✅️
Stomper saves lots of time, shaking the dirt off of the stumps and ready to burn
Omg there is some huge big stumps in that old ground
I'm aways amazed how quickly that D6 fire up,it's like it's aways ready to go
That was a big stump. Brutus pulled it out showing brute force
That rascal flicks those stumps like a kid flicking boogers. That's crazy
