Awesome thanks for sharing this awesome video figures are awesome as well God bless you and your family keep up the amazing videos God bless Gi Joe Eddie epic adventure over and out
Fun video. Note: The FTC Flash from the main series did have Flash specific boots and red hands (released in 2016). The one you profile here with the gloves is one of the many variants they had (likely from the Kresge carded line). They also released a Reverse Flash in a similar fashion. I like the Mego Reverse Flash although its not based on the Silver age version, but still a solid figure. The Joker has allot of factory problems. The sleeves are made way too short and they didn't hemstitch the jacket which means it will certainly fray over time. Penguin and Riddler turned out nice, but I was a bit disappointed by the short cuts (literally and figuratively) on Joker.
Yeah, I definitely like the boxed packaging style. I'm hoping they will release Planet of the Apes repro figures in the boxes at some point. I would probably buy all of them!
This line is really hit and miss. FTC's Flash is better than Mego's which is saying a lot. It's more accurate (minus those inappropriate gloves) to what Mego would have made in 1972 which is what the entire 50th line is based on. The printing and stitching on FTC's Joker outift is also better. Saying anything about these new bodies is an improvement is inaccurate. The arms are too short which looks odd. The articulation is mediocre and many figures have flaws and are breaking right out of the package.
Thanks for commenting. The new body (aside from the knee bend) does in fact have more points of articulation than the 2018 Mego body, so it is an improvement in the range of motion. Does the new body have flaws? Yes, but Mego is currently working to make improvements. It should be noted that the 2018 body held together with bands was also flawed because those bands do occasionally break and will undoubtedly degrade over time. The shift to bandless construction was the right call.
These are really cool figures!! Love the retro packing!!
