A teenager of the 60’s I happened to encounter a young man at a campground outside of Aspen, Colorado who offered me a mushroom trip and I’ve known every day since how profound that experience was and how lucky I was to have had that experience. Truly life changing that altered my life for the better.

I want to watch this because my friend told me about it, but I’m a mold-a-phobe because I had mold toxicity that almost killed me. It weakens the immune system so Lyme+ coinfections manifested soon after moving out of my condo, including a live parasite called Babesia which is first cousin to malaria, but “usually”, it doesn’t kill you. Still, I have a parasite that my doctor has never seen alive before (only antibodies) throughout all her training and practice (She’s an MD with a functional medicine specialist in mold, Lyme, etc. that regular doctors dismiss and don’t recognize as real illnesses. I absolutely loved the documentary. My husband and I started taking turkey tail and lions mane, among others, as part of our vitamin routine . We also added various dried mushrooms to our recipes and we are really loving it. We grew a kit with oyster and one with lion's mane indoors and were thinking about a grow space for more in our greenhouse, but , frankly, I like the convenience of buying dried in bulk. Most importantly, a friend who is a young mother being treated for an aggressive cancer with hopes of halting progression has had regression of tumors with the addition of turkey tail to her regimen (after watching the documentary). This was unexpected and will likely allow her to move forward with more aggressive treatments that otherwise wouldn't be available to her. What was initially considered palliative treatment to hopefully give her more time, may actually be life saving. It's a stretch to the finish line, but there is hope now. Was it the addition of turkey tail? Not sure we will know for sure, but I don't believe in coincidences.
Thank you for this post. My daughter suggested the documentary to me just this past January and said I should quickly share with the family of a longtime friend of mine that has Stage 4 Lymphoma cancer who had a near fatal reaction to only her 2nd chemo treatment in January. After watching, researching and sharing, my friend started taking Turkey Tail mushrooms as soon as she got out of the hospital. We don't know if it's actually helping her cancer but I swear she is doing better on many levels, and even if not, positive placebo effects on the mind can also be amazing for certain individual's healing process. We're all hoping for a miracle to extend her time with us as well, if not to actually assist in remission, but it did appear in a PET scan that her active cancer locations in various areas of her body are much less now.
@@michelelundeen6739 so glad to read this. Our friend is now off chemo, recheck after 6 weeks off chemo and her tumor markers are down and her liver lesions show regression on scans while only taking turkey tail.
