Goodness gracious !!! I was hoping it wasn't true that Mr. Volt didn't get busted!!! Other then that great saved today ! It was nice she was nice enough. Thank you so much for taking us along!!!!
Youre right! We need donation and recycling as a priority, if they REALLY want to help the environment! And the poor and homeless! Cmon, Gov, get a clue!
What was amazing for me was I found all kinds of ziplock bags of all sizes and most of the boxes where open but not too damaged on the inside so my mom and I kept those.
Fantastic finds today. I really like when you put in the sound effects in. It always puts a smile on my face ☺. I just don't like when stores destroy items that could be donated for people in need. You both do an amazing job getting things to donate 💜. I hope you both have a great day, and a fantastic Labour Day weekend my friends ❤🙂🤗🍻🍹⚘.
I think they should be find! For scraping perfectly OK items, there are to many people in need and to much waste to contend with. These things were sold years ago in the bargain part of the shop.
A lot of stores actually get their money back (most of it anyway) when they zero it out and throw it out (not sure why they destroy other than so people can't try to return) but they don't get nearly as much money for charitable contributions. That's why you can find so much in the dumpster.
@@sallyannchappell5671 that I don't have an answer for. Just like I don't know why they cut and destroy merchandise when they throw it in the dumpster or spray paint it so that it is useless to use. Most stores do give to charity, however those numbers are relatively small compared to how much they throw away. They don't get as much money giving to charity as they do when they zero it out and dump it. Stores are notorious for dumping bleach and household cleaners on stuff in dumpsters and that seeps into the ground water. Which BTW is against OSHA regulations. But they do it anyway.
Wow, nice monitor! Candle pumpkins! yay. Your voice is calming, good music here, and Mr. Volt is such a detailed, quick person, must be an awesome papa. Hot isnt it? haha. blessings.
All business gets all tossed out to the trash and or stolen merchandise as a loss which is a tax write off So all money is made back from taxes so business dont have a loss of money
Hey so did I or nobody find all the ninjas or get times wrong from the last video? Just curious cuz there was no mention of it in the video or comments.
Do you still have any of those lights you would sell? I'd love a few boxes if so! Now that I think about it, I forgot to email about the gel pens as well!🙁😩
Insurance companies insist on tbe items claimed as loss on their insurance forms mustbe a total loss. if they are donated, that means those items were not a TOTAL loss, they were still useful, therefore insurance co. Will not pay the claim.
Thank you Doreen for the info. We understand it's hard for these companies but there should be some type of tax break for charitable donations from these big corporations. The amount of stuff thrown into the landfill from these stores every year is massive. Not to mention the whole process it takes to make these items. I have a question though, if the insurance company requires these companies to show a total loss wouldn't it be considered insurance fraud if the stores are intentionally destroying perfectly good items? I understand certain things can break or spoil so that makes sense but there are many many perfectly good items that are intentionally thrown away or damaged. That would be like having insurance for your car if it gets into an accident or breaks down your covered but your not allowed to take a sledge hammer to it and destroy it because you didn't get enough for your resale value. If you were to destroy your car to get the money from the insurance that would be insurance fraud. That part I don't really understand.
Stores use the excuse of liability but congress passed a bill relieving them if any liability on donated items…it’s just flat out expense of donating and they say it keeps people from buying the items from them and not a thrift store lol
Sorry about that I noticed that you left this comment on both our channels. It may not have been very clear in the video and I should've mentioned that but the clothes were all cut up as were most of the stuff in that dumpster. We will sometimes take clothes that are cut up to be repaired if they are not too bad. These were cut up a lot otherwise Mr. Volt would have taken them. That slime wasn't worthless we were able to donate it to a couple siblings that we know and they loved it.

It should be the other way around.
@@voltdivin it should be but it isn't. Just like this country throws away more than 40% of the produce grown. We as a country are wasteful.

They can claim donations on their taxes. They dont want to take the time. They prefer to pay someone to destroy it...
@@susangrimes6451 they actually get more back by zeroing it out and dumping it in the trash than they can claim in charitable contributions.

Is it not legal in some states ? Dumpster diving
It's legal on a federal level but states can have their own rules on dumpster diving. Where we live it's legal.
@@voltdivin Thanks for replying x
Sometimes they (staff) get angry for Dumpster diving.
We name them...super Karen!
We are lucky that we haven't had any angry staff so far they have been pretty nice about it.
Probably because people make a mess
I agreed, they should donate rather than slash it..
nice donation..po
