your cosplay makes you a more authentic marston than what we got in the epilogue cat :D now being serious i like these kinds of news but the last time i got hyped over a possible pc port it turned out the port was for ps4... so until i see it on steam(or more likely exclusive in the awful rockstar launcher) i wont get hyped over a pc version of rdr1

Don't blame you but as a red dead fan I am glad that they didn't remaster the game, I would prefer to have the option to play the game the way that it was intended to play and occasionally play the game with the kind of graphics that you would find in a remastered version of the game with mods installed. Maybe they will release a remastered version of the game some point next year?
Personally I don't give a fu@k about what they're doing until they give rdr2 some real love and attention
Honestly, pc gamers can do mods to do it for them. I would rather have a good port of the original, and they could release a remaster later. Sometimes, having both versions is important. Long-term, you would rather have both for preservation.
Im super happy that they didnt because RDR1 containing features which are missed in RDR2. For example the euphoria engine is used as a main feature in RDR1 which made most of the animations 100% physics based and entertaining. Thats not the case in RDR2 where its only rudimentary used...

Do NOT get hyped and do NOT buy it. It's yet more lazy, low-effort crap and another excuse C*ckstar are using to avoid making 6. Guaranteed to be broken and buggy upon release too, as well as overpriced. Use your heads people. Don't buy crap.
Gonna start saving money, I'll try getting it Day 1 if it comes out on Steam. I've played to death all Rockstar Games on PC (RDR2 - 1008 Hours, GTA V - Around 3500 Hours) , so not gonna miss this one

Imagine if it was a full blown remaster. Would finally make sense as to why they left New Austin basically untouched in RDR2. Either way, I'm excited to see what's coming.

It’s priced at $50 on the Switch iirc which is still quite high but I’ve paid more for way worse games. The game is still worth $60, no matter how old it is

As much as I would like bully and other old games to be ported. The honest truth is their port studios suck. So even if you got one, it might be trash. None of the ports are ever made by Rockstar games.

@RealRagnar816 I wouldn't say 30 fps cap is fine. 720 ui that isn't fixed being upscaled to 4k. It's a copy-paste port that took 14 years to come out. No effort from what I can see has been put in. All we can do is hope modders can fix the games issues unless we got a delayed release for these upgrades. I am leaning toward probably not. Just like gta trilogy still not getting updates the mobile version got. Which is still the best version that is just depressing.

I’m playing through for the first time as we speak. I’m currently on Vincente De Santa’s first mission, mindblowingly good game. Only other game that’s ever had me this hooked in was GTA V, and that’s my favourite game of all time.
Is it a possibility that the reveal will be on Saturday. May 18th which would line up with the 14 year anniversary?

I periodically (once every 4 months or so) search RDR to see if they’re ever going to remake / remaster the game for PC and this was absolutely amazing timing

Weird how some of the bigger RUclipsrs are actually not talking about this, whenever something big like this happens it gets in their hands but they haven’t said anything. I guess it isn’t that big of news yet. Also, the unfortunate truth is that this may not even happen, just because it’s information found in the code of the launcher, you never know if it’ll happen. I heard with NVIDIA, they had a game that showed in their code like 3 years ago that never even came out. Who knows if that’ll be the case here.

Honestly this doesn't affect me in anyway because im a console player, but im happy for the pcs players who'll finally be abble to play this masterpiece officially... I just hope it doesn't come out at 50 dollars or something like last time.

there is but you gotta use remote play and a third party software, since it’s third party you ca. literally use it on ANY game! Even gta or rdr!

If they are adding RDR1 to PC, they may also eventually work on a PS5 and Series X/S patch, I mean I’m sure this is copium but I also believe they may update RDR Online.
