you missed the entire point of shadcn-- they are starter components that are meant* to be edited to whatever you want. you can create everything in originUI with shadcn
@@tmerb I think you got lost in the analogies. A proper analogy would have been a video saying 'Don't use tailwind and radix use shadcn instead' But 34 likes is a good indicator that my analogies are just a play on words. And that people are pretty happy with the level of abstraction provided by shadcn..
@@baruchrevivo2966 bro i'm talking specifically about shadcn vs originui as it is mentioned in the video-- youre trying to create an analogy from my main point which has nothing to do with my main point... ?
You are the best! and now I'm gonna recommend this channel to everyone. Best in your niche, just keep doing best things forever and boom you are the most loved youtuber among developers. I will request to always be consistent, we really love your content. Thank you for being there🙏✨
Great content man! Would be nice if can be integrated with shadcn/ui in terms of styling, at least, meanwhile a full list of components are available in originUI
How do you make your videos? Thumbnails, zoom in effects, camera, its all super clean. I want to make videos like this I feel like a grandpa, I don't know what I'm doing at all
@ Mostly the smooth animations. It feels so unnatural and gets confusing when the actual cursor is hovering over something that then gets highlighted while the animated cursor isn’t even close to it yet. I like the natural, standard cursor way better
@tobitacklestech building your own helps you be more fluid and without much complexity for some VERY simple uses. But then, I like this, and I'll give it a try.
@@blankcheckguy69 I'm hating on UI systems that are framework specific. It's horrible and they shouldn't exist to begin with, as we keep locking ourselves to a specific ecosystem. And frameworks? Depends. For static content I go with Astro, for simple Websites I just go with HTML with little JS. Sometimes I use Angular/Svelte
@@tobitacklestechYou didn't understand my point. UI systems should be framework agnostic. The moment they aren't, you're locked into a ecosystem. Which I consider absolutely horrid. Not everyone exists to d***ride react. Personally, I have been using less frameworks over the years. Luckily tailwind works everywhere. So I guess not everything is lost.
cool man, add more components, good resource for free, if you want to gain some money, suggestion: ads. Please keep it free. Edit: you missed a c in subscribe, doesn't matter, little typo

You are right! Did I say anything against this? ✌🏼
Did you miss the entire point of Tailwind and Radix by using shadcn?
@@baruchrevivo2966 is tailwind and radix mentioned directly in the video i.e title by saying `Dont use tailwind and radix use OriginUI instead`?

Subscribed, thank you for the great value! Keep it up!
Thanks ✌🏼
So many shadcn wrappers coming out, crazy
Yeah but i fw the devs behind this one they cool
So true.. they all improve on shadcn... What I do is just add them to my own UI library - UI Thing
I use them together and works brilliant. I use the imported components from shadcn and OriginUI styling
Need more videos like this man
Great finding!Thank you very much!
u forgot dark mode brother ?
😂😂😂🥴 you’re totally right mb
no worries bro
finally i found input with much variant, thank you
Glad I could help!
How do you get the animated cursor in macos? Is it done in editing? Great video btw!
It is done with screen studio ;)
This is incredibly awesome 😎 , we need more videos like this

True!
From what I'm seeing on their github, looks like it sort of is. The css file looks really similar, if not identical to the one shadcn uses.
Looks great 👍 I’ll have to try it
How tf do you build on Next and Tailwind? People are going crazy with meta frameworks
Yeah this is just so you can copy and paste it with use client directive on top… you can also use them in react
🐗aint no way bruh DEVS need DARK MODE MATTER's 👁👁
@@watchbro3319 😭😭😭😭😭😭
is it ready to be used with React 19 rc?
I think so yes, but I didn’t try, tell me if it works 🙏🏼

Look the editor in my description :)
Great vid! But that smoothly animated cursor is so annoying and confusing
Oh ok what do you don’t like the size?
@ Mostly the smooth animations. It feels so unnatural and gets confusing when the actual cursor is hovering over something that then gets highlighted while the animated cursor isn’t even close to it yet. I like the natural, standard cursor way better
Is this compatible for react js as well?
Yes of course!
Take your like Sir!
So Powerful stuff brother
what's that dev tool bro? i have seen a lot of people using it.
edit: and you won a sub. nice video looking for more like this.
Thanks for the sub! What dev tool do you mean?
Quasar JS is goat
Awesome job man 🎉
Thanks ✌🏼
When should they subscribe jajajaja
✌🏼
I think shadcn ui feels heavy
this is how tutorials should be can you make on shadncn now
Got an older one on my channel ✌🏼
thanks
great video
Thanks :)
The downside is, built with next js.
Some love it some hate it 😯
Just remove "use client" and it works in react
Flashbang!
🥴
@tobitacklestech Dev showing ui lib in white mode makes me question his proficiency :)
Framework kiddies. I prefer framework agnostic systems, so this is basically garbage.
Fair point some love component libs some built there own

‘basically garbage’ is a crazy take lol haters b everywhere nowadays
@punsmith im curious, what framework do you use?

only for react and next.js based projects I guess!!
Yes correct 🤫
