I know that after 20 years I am going to forget about the newbies but Sonu Nigam will remain there,in my playlist, like he had always been. A legend. Maybe, the last singing legend.

You are spot on Rajiv. Sonu will always be remembered bcoz he has proved himself to be an iconic living legend. There was nobody in the past and even today, who can talk with so much of confidence. He knows what he is talking especially when he says Kaamyabi milna alag baat hai aur izzat ek alag hi baat hai. He doesn't belittle anybody and has a photographic memory. His sense of humour is remarkable and his spoken English is absolutely impeccable. Hard to believe he gave up studying after school....he seems to be a very well qualified man. His analysis bout anything , be it life or music ; is something that can catch your attention bcoz of the way he talks.

Inside him there is a great philosopher hiding,same goes to shahrukh khan..Sonu and Shahrukh has something special in them.the way they talk and explain things,the way they share their views about life is incredibly philosophic and yet so logical and so motivational.
also, both are honest and speak from the heart rather than rehearsed boring speeches or diplomatic interviews, so the wit comes naturally. We can never get bored hearing both of them! Sonu is my forever love
Time flies by. We know there is a time for every singer but era for legends. Sonu Nigam, Ladies and Gentlemen, is the legend you can't compare anybody with. People have started showing like they don't know him in front of newbie singers. I agree and respect all other singers of this generation. I myself am a 27 years old guy so I am quite connected to both the generations. However, NO ONE can replace this vacancy ever in the millennium. That's true! He never mentioned the biggest stake holder if marriages go to a time bound contract situation….i.e. children.
