      @@AcesFullPokerJust going to be honest with you because it's important to know this as a creator. There is a vast amount of people who just close the video the second they hear an AI voice, I am one of those people. If you're going to go through the effort of making the video (assuming it wasn't entirely AI generated anyways), then why not just use your own voice? If for some reason you don't like your voice then you could always use a voice changer to tweak it a bit. Anyways, just leaving this as some food for thought because you are missing out on views, watch time, and retention by choosing to go the AI route. You'll get more views long term and eventually be picked up by the algorithm more as well. Good luck

    I was a cab driver in Vegas back then before Uber was a thing. I drove many poker players to and from the WSOP. Every one of them had no personality and existed like zombies. Their entire focus was on gambling.
    I met one guy who told me that he had a gambling addiction and spent $10,000 a day. He said that he was depressed and suicidal. I told him that I beat depression and he asked me for advice.
    I recommended that he take the $10,000 he spends on poker and use it to feed and help people who need it. He said “I cant do that!!!” to which I replied, “Well stay depressed then”

    I happen to know Jamie Gold personally and have known him for over 20 years.I experienced his entire WSOP domination in 2006.He single handedly took out most of the entire final table in the main event.He manipulated players in to doing whatever he needed them to do but he was always fair and honest and played with in the rules.When people watch the video and see his confidence maybe it looks as if he's cocky but he backed it up with skill.I have never know a man with more integrity and empathy then Jamie Gold.Anyone who has ever played with him would feel the same.He is an ambassador to the game and has raised millions of dollars for charity through his private poker events.This video does him no justice whatsoever ever and who ever posted it should be ashamed for not giving the true facts of this great poker player and person.

    A couple suggestions on the video production: First of all, the rocking up and down pictures get a little irritating after a while. I know it may seem a bit styley, but it's always best to have still camera shots, from my experience in video production/camera work. More pleasing to the eyes. Just giving honest constructive criticism. I do like the footage. I don't mind the zooming in or out of photos either. And the panning and tilting effects are fine on the photos/graphics, but just no more of the "bumpy" or "rocking" frame shots. The AI voice is standard for a lot of RUclips channels. It can always get better, as it is weird trying to pronounce certain words (especially surnames) correctly. Other than omission of the rocking effects, it's alright. Great stories and history. Keep up the good work!

Big cash games. Real money. Real tournaments. He was an ass at the table. Always hee hawing like a donkey when he won at the other players. One day just before we started playing. I saw him running. These 3 guys chasing him. He ran into the bathroom. The three went after him. BOOM CRASH THUMP. All you I could hear was " I PAY YOU BACK OWWWWW!!!" I got up to help him and couple of player said. No Bill. He deserves it. Trust me. So I sat back down. After donating a couple of teeth. He stumbled out. He called his dad to pick him up. Rumor has his Dad paid off his debt. Years later after the league folded. I saw him flipping burgers. He recognized me and hung his head. I pretended I did not recognize him. For every winner in poker there are twenty losers.

    Based on the players desribed in this video, for me it's an excellent testimony for what sudden fame can do to people. Many players, including most of them in this video, actually convince themselves that they are as good as their results in bracelets or cash. The problem, of course, is that their delusions of greatness come back later to haunt them partly because others figure out their play when they drop their guard a bit, and partly because luck can come in any length cycle. The long cycles of success can so easily be followed by long cycles where it no longer matters how well you play--you cannot win if your luck is bad enough. It's really just another version of a gambling addiction at that point and not so much about poker.

    • @AcesFullPoker
      @AcesFullPoker  Месяц назад

      Great point, Steve! The fine line between skill and luck in poker-and how fame impacts decision-making-really adds an interesting layer to the game. In the wrong spots. If skill over a long period of time is what counts not pure luck 9/10 pros wouldn’t go broke. Just like some guys have what it takes to be NBA player some people have more luck than others. 5 % of poker players are wining players and the negranus and Ivys of the world are less than 1%. @ he was one of if not perhaps the smartest card players to ever live. That is not even up for debate. Did he go bust and come back multiple times- yes. Many card players do. It’s called gambling for a reason. Jamie Gold - yes - not all that bright, very arrogant and very lucky at that wsop - too dumb to understand what he fell into and to just take his pile cash and run. No one, but a moron like you would call Stu Ungar dumb.

    • @AcesFullPoker

      @ ummmmm - are you really this obtuse - or is it intentional? Going broke doesn’t make someone dumb - plenty of very smart entrepreneurs go through that multiple times and keep coming back - just like Stu did. That means - Smart and talented. He man had demons he ultimately succumbed to. The only dumb one is the person incapable of recognizing the difference between troubled genius and being dumb. The dumb one is clearly you.

      Might have been Negraunu tbh.
      That means its like 30-35% but thats still a lot and most of these guys cant do that bc there are requirements for it and when they win their money theyre still working at a normal job or unemployed and i think theres an hour/tourny entry stipulation to be able to claim in.
      I think its totally unfair because our government does not need that money - to them its nothing.
      They spend the money on 40 thousand dollar toilet seats, 800 dollar tylenols while ruining the dreams of people that thought they finally had grasped the impossible.
