Don't worry, this is also how I trained my friend to become a combat veteran like me. It took us 46 ingame hours for him to master every aspect of combat, but it's fun having the synergy when fighting creatures you normally have a tough time dealing with.
btw in case u didn’t know most lizard bites aren’t lethal so u can attack the lizard if they bit your friend and the lizard will drop ur friend who will probably be alive :)

While I don't think a deathless run is good for this game, because dying is an integral part of it, it was fun watching you guys try doing it. I don't have many hours in Rain World, but even if I did, I certainly wouldn't try doing this challenge, because it would discourage me from combat (fighting lizards in particular), which is my favourite thing in this game

I did a hunter run. basically speed ran in 10 cycles, my only problem was my two deaths, it wasn't a skill issue, it's just how the game works. attempting a deathless run and disrupting the karmic cycles is a feat few have managed

I feel like making a new player do a no-hit run on a game renowned for being hard for new players is a bad idea. Rain world is hard by itself and the game has enough random elements for a no death run to be kind of a poor fit, only being good for players which know how to mitigate the randomness. You did get the hang of it eventually I guess but it would still be unsatisfying to lose the entire run to a white lizard in exterior. Besides that though, this focus on speedrunning imo takes away from the game's focus on exploration and atmosphere on a first playthrough

I've sunk many an hour into the world and I can't imagine doing this challenge at all. ESPECIALLY with a second person who's never played.

The thumbnail is mostly 3D in Blender. For the creatures, simple models were created and were redrawn in Microsoft Paint.
