  • Canada’s Prairie grasslands are one of the most endangered and least protected ecosystems on the planet. By protecting this endangered ecosystem, you’re a hero too.
Learn how they absorb and store billions of tonnes of carbon, protect communities from flooding and drought, help purify drinking water, and provide habitat for more than 70 species at risk! They are also important socio-culturally to Canadians, serving as a working landscape and home to Indigenous peoples since time immemorial.
In this donor exclusive event, our distinguished speakers will showcase just how much impact you’re creating - and give you deeper insights into the grasslands you’re protecting.
    Featuring:
    Trevor Herriot
Trevor Herriot is a naturalist, grassland conservationist, and the author of several award-winning books, including Grass, Sky, Song and the national bestseller River in a Dry Land, both of which were short-listed for the Governor General's Award for Nonfiction. Towards a Prairie Atonement, published in October 2016, took two Saskatchewan Book Awards. His first novel, The Economy of Sparrows (2023), takes place on the prairie landscapes where he spends most of his time, south of Indian Head.
    Tasha Hubbard
Tasha Hubbard is an award-winning filmmaker from Peepeekisis First Nation in Treaty Four Territory and has ties to Thunderchild First Nation in Treaty Six Territory.
