Baumalight is about the best value for the spend you will find right now. Total all the hours you spend fixing, tweaking, adjusting and apply a fair hourly rate to it, and you won't be far off from Baumalight. Then there is support and parts. To each their own, and I fully understand some may not have the fiscal ability to swing for better equipment. I will say buying strictly on price hurts every market. Really frustrating when quality manufactures are squeezed out and all that is left is "just good enough". Really good review of your experience and modifications. I'm sure it will help somebody out there.
Great video! I am thinking about purchasing the DRT T800 or T1000 unit and this helps to better comprehend maintenance and repair. Thank you for taking the time to make your videos!
Only way to fix yhe hydraulics is to add a third pump. That's why if someone buys one get the third pump instead of two. That way the hydraulics for your attachments are separate from the tracks.
Thanks for the video. Can you tell us the price you paid tital for your mini skid? Can you do a review on that mulcher attachment, where you got it, how much it cost and how it does with your mini? I bought undeveloped land i need to clear and wanted to buy my own so i could really use the info. Ty.
I paid just over $8000 total. Almost half was in shipping costs. I had it dropped in my driveway with a liftgate. I will have some video up on the flail mower soon. Found some flow issues that im working out as part of the video.
Hey, you said you added the "suitcase" weights each 110 lbs? Was this an extra buy from the Chinese exporter? I was also wondering, while it will help you counter-balance a heavy load, if you were on an incline, even loading on a trailer with the front tray empty, are you concerned it could flip back on you?
@gregl7597 they may if it's a manufacturer. I've seen some recently with built in weights. I like mime because I can remove for my tiny cargo trailer that doesn't support all the weight. Your situation may differ
@@ProDirt That likely is due to it only using one pump section for both a drive and accessories. With the other pump section for a drive alone. On more expensive machines they use a 3 pump system which has one pump just for the attachments. Flow rates and pressure are what count. You might be able to combine a two pump system so that both pumps supply all items. That would equalize the drives and also increase the flow rates to the attachments. It would need a larger relief valve to make sure you don't go over pressure.
@gravelydon7072 you're on the money here. Already combined pumps, failed, and learned a lot. Power through is looking like the trick. Stay tuned for a video on this
18:50 Something has to be done with that exhaust. At the very least it is pumping heat into the oil. At worst it is going to destroy the piston seals. What a PITA. I don't see any easy method to reroute.
@@ProDirt You might be able to get by with just making a triangle stand off shield that screws down to the removable panel. The center diameter can be quite large forcing lots of turbulent mixing. Seems the carburetor needs to be jetted down a couple of jet sizes. Been a long time since I've seen so much carbon from small engine. Bet the plug looks similar.

@@gregl7597 I bought them locally off Facebook marketplace
@@ProDirt I'm looking at very similar ones at the moment and hoping the Chinese sellers will supply. Thanks for responding.

@@ProDirt I like them...but when I check around they were too expensive. Thanks again.
How does it do with the flail mower
@bfrazier337 not great. Working a change on the hydraulics. I'll have a video out soon

Where did you get those weights?
Bought them locally off facebook marketplace. Should be able to find them at tractor dealers as well
Suitcase weights. 100lbs each. If you have to ask what they are you are not going to pay for one.
You buy it from a Chinese trading company, not direct manufacturer.
@@remotemowers it was direct from the manufacturer

Yea its a pita. I have some ideas I gotta try. Little shield is holding its ground for now
