  • HUGE SHOUTOUT TO STEWY FOR RECONS GO CHECK OUT RECO.NZ FOR OTHER RECONS OF TOP SOLVERS
Hope you liked this type of video, might do more when he breaks more records lolz. Not to knock any of his accomplishments but there were understandably good cases in this average, and i would go as far to say his 4.48 was technically more proficient. But super cool to see World Record be broken after so long. Huge congrats to him and hope you enjoy the vid :)

Yes, I noticed that the scramble in the video has one or two flaws in the end. Something switched a bit. Took a while to found out what was going on ;-)

The fact that Dylan is noticing things that Yiheng isn’t just proves you how good he is and how good of a future he might have

For sure. Yiheng will get better as long as he chooses too. It’s crazy how much higher his Cube IQ could be.

      @tyronium2 Месяц назад +3

yiheng isn't exactly the most efficient cuber but he makes up for it with 1 trillion tps, and it doesn't matter that much because usually at that turn speed it's best to do the first thing you see because taking recognition time takes a while when you solve that fast

I can follow the x-cross (keyhole) technique but wouldn´t be able to implement this in a fast solve. But it is quite great to be able to follow this and also the other inserts. I do undersand the technique. However it is not a big insight when I say that there is a difference in knowing this and executing it like they do.

My solution of the 4th scramble is
    Z2 y' x'
    B2 U' R U' // 3 cross edges
    F2 Rw U' L' // F2L-1
    U R' F U2 R U L' U L // cross + F2L-2
    U R' U R // F2L-3
    U' R U R' F R' F' R // F2L-4 + OLL
    U2 RW U' L D2' L' U L D2' L' RW' U' // PLL A perm
    40 moves

Or with your start I would have done
      Z2 y'
      D2 R B' R // 3 cross edges
      U2 L U' L' // F2L-1
      U' R' F R U' R U R' U2 R' F U' R U R' U' R U R' U' R // F2L + Last cross edge
      U' Rw U' Rw' U' L U F U' L' // OLL
      U Lw U' R' D R U R' D' R U R' D R U' R' D' // PLL E perm
56 moves which I did in 5.94s, 9.43 tps which is very high for me
