Yes but given that I only want a couple of outbound notifications a month, $4 is a hell load of money. Maybe I should still consider SES for this

I wished that I found that video before. I followed the administrator guide from AWS and it was way more complex. However, your video covers the topic of a new email. Do you have a video to show how to migrate emails from another email hosting (and not lose emails in the process)? Thanks

@@BeABetterDev Well, I spent hours, if not days, in the past month, trying to learn Amazon Lightsail and Workmail. The fact is that they make it super easy to create something from scratch, for instance, a new WordPress website in 2 minutes or a Workmail the way you did it. But when it comes to migrating existing websites and emails, that seems to be a different story! For instance, the WordPress migration they suggest requires a $99 plugin license. That makes no sense. I finally gave up.

Dumb question, I am building a service for a charity and $4 USD per month per user is a lot and even eclipses our server hosting costs. If you don't need the advanced features and have 5 inboxes (info@, it@, and 3 people), that's $20 per month! Is it possible to multiplex a single user with multiple inboxes? Is there a cheaper alternative to this with fewer features?

Oh yes just one question are you aware of any way that we may customize the look and colors the login panel and interface of the Workmail application including adding our own logo and branding? I looked in settings there is no option for that is there another way to do this?

Thank you may I ask when setting up organization do I need to set up separate organization for each domain or do I set up one organization and put all the different domains in that one organization? Or is it better to set up separate organization for each domain?
It is not just $4 is per month, meaning $48 per year per user. For simple needs of 10 accounts that is $480 per year.
Dam expensive, one used email for a domain is acceptable with Amazon reliability I guess. anything else is cheaper to use other services or even pay for an entire hosting package. (like name cheap!) . My self I have a $1,000 2year credit from Amazon so happy days.
Is there any solutions to aws workmail stopped working on Outlook? Aws support is not really helpful at all. Keep telling me follow the troubleshooting on their website and I already did 100million times still not working. I’m really lost on this.

6:28 do you configure manually if your domain is set up through a third party? Mine is purchased from hostinger but hosted through cloudflare. I’d assume I’d need to configure this manually and not automatically

However, when I copy multiple email addresses from an Excel sheet and paste them in the "To" or "BCC" box, they are all pasted together as one piece of text and, thus, it gives me an error. How to solve this issue? Also, please is there a way to import a list of email addresses from an excel sheet to create an an address book at WorkMail or do you have to insert emails separately in the Address book? Your answers will be appreciated. Thanks

I've noticed this problem as well and haven't been able to find a work around. The only thing I could think of is bypassing the workmail UI by integrating the email with something like Outlook and pasting in from there.
Hope this helps and I hope the Workmail team fixes this soon.

I struggle to see where this product is positioned in the market. Big enterprise is going to flock to Office 365/Exchange Online for AD integration, small to mid tier will be on 365 or Google Apps.
Hi Matt! Great question. I think it provides value for folks that are already in the AWS ecosystem and don't want to get fragmented into Microsoft products. Not sure how the pricing model compares but I found it works well for my small (1 user) use case :)

How is their spam filter compared to gmail?

I'm unfortunately not too familiar with the spam filter capabilities. I have noticed through personal use it does a decent job filtering content, though.

Is it necessary to register domain in or transfering domain intp aws route53 ? is we can use domain from any registar and attached with aws workmail ? I am student from India and its tough for me to pay that they cost transfering domain charge.
In India 1$ means around 75 Rupees. So 4$ => 4 * 75 =300. For Student and learning purpose the AWS should be given some free trial.
How do you do this with a GoDaddy registered domain name?
