For those who can't read Thai, the sign at the beginning says that whole chicken is 150 Bahts ($4.16 USD), half a chicken is 75 Bahts ($2.13 USD), and that sticky rice is 5 Bahts a pack. Great deal, even greater considering that this shop is in Bangkok. Wow.
I spent 5 days in Bangkok about 15 years ago and i think I had 1 meal in an actual restaurant. The rest were all street food and it was amazing. Even if you can't read the signs, just point to what looks great, hold out some coins in your hand and they'll take what it costs, nothing more. Such a great experience.
Is this saying that people generally cant count??..However, just about everyone running street stalls in Bangkok know how to tell you the price in English!
Was just discussing this with the sister today - she's been everywhere - her No. 1 Street food / Real bustle City is Bankok. Her comment was "New York thinks it's It & never stops - Bankok is It & never, ever stops. In comparison, New York is a sleepy town".
some of my favoite foods have been eaten on the streets of bangkok.. Moo Ping and Street Pad Thai by a grandma in Sathorn food worth remembering... L.A Rob
No rotisserie system - much the same product output without that cost/complexity. Plus the "Ovens" are super-basic & cheap to produce - a very good System for roasting chicken in bulk. The stuffing adds flavour & differentiates the product too. Very smart way to go. I like.
Your video documentary was splendid. Thank you! I learn by watching. (I see things, millions of things ... thank you dear host of this channel. In a couple months I will be there good lord willing.) Hey I'm going to Bangkok for the experience 🎉
Love it. This is why I see Bangkok as the street food capital of the world. Very modest facilities that produce outstanding product.

All cooked in a filthy dirty sh*t hole where hygiene is a word that doesn't exist. in language spoken by anyone in Thailand.

Definitely. Love charcoal cooked food.

Chicken looks good but need to clean up them grills. Clean grill grates help keep chicken skin from peeling off also.
I personally love food cooked in an old oil drum with the paint peeling off on the inside yum
Not sure what dipping sauce is used but I'll take 1 whole, sauce and rice. That's all.
I need it on the grill about 20 minutes more, and extra sauce.
Do it yourself
