I knew I was right to admire Arnold for the past few decades. It takes a lot of strength & courage to talk about something so embarrassing & hurtful in front of the world. He faced his problem head on, unlike almost every other politician.
He has made a mistake and he cant undo what heppened. At least he has the guts and balls to go to an interview like that and answer questions

Wow. Arnold is as strong mentally as he is physically. Amazing to see someone so open about their failure, and so strong to just sit in it, and talk about it, showing all of the weakness and trauma, yet stay so solid. What an incredible person.

I feel very sorry for Maria Shriver because she seems so loyal and committed, she must've been very sad by the betrayal. Arnold is one of the few people that is willing to talk about this type of thing in public. Courage is an interesting concept. From the outside, physically, a guy can be tough as nails, but true courage is not about being tough, it's about being vulnerable, open and honest.

In almost every case, it can be seen why something like what Arnold did really happened. But, in this case, it is really mind boggling!!! Arnold, himself, says he has always loved Maria since the moment he met her. He says she was an extraordinary woman, wife, & mother. She was loyal & committed to him & everything they built together. It makes no sense whatsoever for him to have such a beautiful, loving wife & be sleeping with a woman like their maid who has NONE of his wife's qualities. What he did to his wife, kids, & HIMSELF is truly a tragic, senseless shame.

I'm an imperfect person, and like most people I sometimes get really down on myself for stupid things I've done or decisions I've made, and in those moments it is easy to gaze from a distance at the rich...the famous...the successful...those apparently living the "perfect" life, and at some level feel oneself even smaller for one's own imperfections. Regarding Arnold, I'm thankful to him for his inspiring example relating to his determined climb to the top. And now, I'm even more thankful to him for showing me that even the best of us fuck-up sometimes, and perhaps I shouldn't be so hard on myself...

THEMASKFHC No worries mate. When one is constantly surrounded by high-achievers, it can sometimes do more harm than good to one's self-image. I've watched Arnold since the '70s, and always had a bit of hero-worship going on. And it is easy in life to imagine that heroes have the perfect life, whereas oneself is just a total fuck-up. But, the secret life of outwardly successful people is often never really known. For example, look at the recent example of Robin williams; here is a guy who achieved so much in his life and was admired by millions, yet how much pain was he secretly in? Or, what about Tiger Woods? From the outside in the beginning Tiger's life looked about as perfect as one could imagine...And yet...again...he had is weaknesses and his mess-ups. Hugh grant? Bill Clinton? Mike Tyson? Countless stars who end up in rehab? The list goes on...
So, whenever you feel like you made a mistake...just kick back for a moment...chill...put it behind you and then get on with life. The energy you spend getting angry with yourself today is better spent doing one positive thing tomorrow...

Arnold Schwarzenegger was so much larger than life, so successful for so long, he almost became unhuman. The fact that he made such a great misstep makes him more sympathetic in a way - he's human after all and he too can fail. He owned it all like a star which I greatly respect.
Another example of the idiotic mainstream media focusing on the faults of Arnold rather then the tremendous successes that he has experienced from the moment he arrived in America. The bulk of the interview is focused on the affair which I think is very unfair and unflattering, yes he made a mistake, yes ask a few questions about what happened, but move on and understand that the United States is and has been very fortunate to have been able to benefit from this man's incredible energy.

Also, T2 is not only the greatest action film of the 90's, but arguably the greatest action film of all time. I am so proud of all of them, they are all wonderful people, Maria & the kids & I even like Mildred and love Joseph, Joseph is an amazing young man, we are so excited to have him.

I admire this man for genuinely apologizing, and taking responsibility for what he did. I realize the hurt will never go away for the family, but he is definitely putting it all out there, admitting his faults, all bullshit aside. I can tell he is making a valiant effort to right his wrongs. And the pain in his face is just heartbreaking. Arnold, I applaud you!! Thanks for being the one real person left in Tinsel Town, for not being fake, and for not trying to cover things up with lie after lie. There are some people out there that could learn a lot from the example you've just set.

As a Catholic, I can go to confession at any church other than my home parish to avoid embarrassment especially when my pastor recognizes my voice. In Arnold's case even halfway around the world a priest would recognize his voice through the privacy screen.
