    Really valuable talk with a great techno DJ and producer! Seeing Ellen live this year was amazing and I hope to do it again! Great talk (besides that she interrupts the interviewer a lot) :D

    do many people speak English in berlin? will I survive if I move there haha thx Ellen Alllien

    • @subsubsciber3657
      @subsubsciber3657 Год назад +1

      Absoluetly they do, there's generally a high standard of english in Berlin and in general across Germany. If your staying in Berlin and working there as a resident medium to long term I'd imagine you'd want to be fluent in German on some level and take lessons and learn while there.

    • @chrish4nsen
      @chrish4nsen Год назад +4

      No, stay away. Over 50k ppl without housing in Berlin. Rent prices have gone through the roof bc of lack of apartments, gentrification & too much influx.
      Besides it's bullsh*t that it's "a high standard of English across Germany". Outside of big cities like Berlin, Hamburg & Cologne hardly anyone speaks it, even tho it's taught as mandatory 2nd language in schools.

      Same here, i wanna move to berlin mostly because of the scene(im from Bosnia), im 22 idk what to do 🤣

    • @chrish4nsen
      @chrish4nsen 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@foren1012 Because of ppl like u locals can’t find a place to live and if we do then we have to pay more than double the price of what it once costed. U have absolutely no history with this city and wanna move here because of “the scene”? Cringe. I used to pay 250€ incl heating, now I pay 900! Over 50.000 ppl are without a roof over their head because we have NO HOUSING LEFT! But sure, just come here for selfish reasons.

      @@subsubsciber3657 I haven't been to Berlin, but there is definitely not a high standard of english in Germany. They're almost as bad as the french.

    'if you can't afford the rent in berlin, go a little bit outside, because there's space.' ellen is rich and privileged. i'm sorry, but nothing she says in this interview is valuable, it's really weird actually.

      Seems like you didn't get the context. Nothing in this comment is valuable, its really weird actually.
      I read it as a peak to all hipsters and techno tourists coming to Berlin complaining, but not really taking part in the scene.

      its actually good advice, your kind of weird actually.. theres 20m2 in the centre of berlin where everyone fights over and if you take 20 steps outside there is endless space that nobody wants to touch with a 10 foot (5 yard) pole. it makes not a single cubic centemetre of sense

      @@seanwhitty3218 Even in the outskirts property prices have gone through the roof BECAUSE ppl are moving outside of Berlin since a few years now!

      The whole Berlin scene is pathetic. Exclusive fashion techno, and if you're not a perverted degenerate, you're not in it.
