I personally use a TWSBI Eco with the widest nib they sell. I think that is currently the 1.1mm. If you can find a wider nib on a pen go for it as the chisel tip offers the best result in writing Tengwar/Elvish. This is also one of the reasons I use chisel tip markers often so I can get a little bit bigger writing that is more visible on the lettering. All the best friend! Thanks for the question. :)
Thanks so much for the reply. I was considering the TWSBI Eco and the Pilot explorer. In the end I went for the Pilot. I'm hoping the nibs can be swapped out. I saw a you tube video of JRR Tolkien writing Elvish. The theory in fountain pen circles seems to be that he is writing with an Onoto 'The Pen' pen from the late forties. Certainly would love to emulate that!
Amazing! Ive been needing a turorial for a while and this is very very comprehensive - may i ask what program you're using to write and what pen you use to get such a nice calligraphy effect
Hi there and first of all thank you very much for your video lessons. They were very very useful to me to learn about writing Tengwar. I'd like to know what hardware and software you used to write on screen in your videos. Thank you very much in advance.
I'm not even a big fan of LOTR but I love Quenya/Tengwar. The script reminds me of a westernized version of tibetan script.
Hey! Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time and the superb effort to take us on this journey!!!
Killer video! The time stamps are much appreciated & I’ll definitely save for a rewatch. ❤
Yes! The timestamps will prove to be super valuable to those who need to come back to reference at a later time.
Are you back for good bc I was bummed when you went on your hiatus but I'm glad you back now
Dang, i just gave my tengwar work books to the granddaughters.
Thank you very much. You're an acomplished artist. I think now is the moment to say elen síla lúmenn omentielvo.

Great video. Extremely comprehensive.
What pen nib would you use for writing with fountain pen on paper?
Thank you ...Mark

Does anyone know if the letters here are demonstrated with the Procreate app? That's my guess, but I'm not really sure.
Hi, what brush do you use? Is it procreate or photoshop? :)
Yaaasssssss

What app are you using to write with?
So I learned the other one for nothing

Hello, Where can I print out these charts please.. Thank you
Tecendil (Tecendil.com) has a pdf put together you could print out. I don’t really have my own charts (docs) made up at this time.
