I really hope Birdy's label puts more effort in the promos of this new album cause Young Heart it's an absolute work of art but criminally underrated and that's on the poor promotion.
It was released during tough times, when promotion by ‘getting out there’ wasn’t on the cards. No traveling nor showing up in international tv shows. No concerts either, which is half of the promotion these days.
Her last two albums were massively underrated in my opinion. Both Beautiful Lies and Young Heart.
I love the Kate Bush vibe on this… I find music promotion so frustrating thesedays, real talent is so often overlooked in present times for generic pop which is saturating the market.
Yeah, even I just found out she released a new album, because I have her yet notifications on, otherwise I wouldn't have found out.

Exactly! While listening this on a radio, all I was thinking was a Cloudbusting. This is beautiful. I grew up on Kate Bush' discography, and it really melted my heart when I heard this, like there is a hope for our music and for new generations to get that touch with art and feel what we felt growing up with 80s and KB influence.

Birdy is from my generation, we are from the same year, I remember her beginnings, but she was completely forgotten afterwards, even though her artistic potential is enormous. It's such a shame because she knows how to do everything music, singing, writing she deserves much more success...I came back here after the rumors that this song could represent uk at eurovision. It would be a very good choice and it will be largely my top 3 from France. We hope it is that choice. Very nice song and melody bravo Birdy!!!!

I heard this on a radio, and I thought to myself "I don't recall this Kate Bush's song and the voice is slightly different ( kind of Florence and The machine voice, but this can't be Florence, this must be the 80s) what 80s artist this could be and how could I not know it?" so I Shazamed it. Imagine my surprise finding out that this masterpiece is actually from 2023! And I just found a new artist that I'm exited to discover. Birdy, thank you for bringing the 80s era to our dull music industry. And please, never compromise to them. Be unapologetically yourself.

This is SUCH an exciting direction for Birdy!!!!!! And this video had me in tears, I didn't realize that the "we" she's singing about is her and her younger self the first time I heard it. It's a fascinating exploration and expression of what can essentially be boiled down to the question "Do you ever look back at your past self and wish that the present you could be there to guide your past self and reassure her that everything will be alright?"

As someone first introduced to Birdy via 'Wings', many moons ago, I always felt she was a deep, introverted, yet insanely talented character. Much to my delight, as she gets older, she has grown more confident in herself and is heading down a route occupied by those eccentric geniuses, Kate Bush and Bjork. Love the manic eye makeup!

Apologies to Birdy if you find it weird that you’re suddenly getting inundated with Eurovision comments over a rumour 😂however I will say, I stumbled upon this song *because* of that rumour and I haven’t been able to stop listening to it since, this is amazing.
