- On Tuesday’s (Feb. 25) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks start off the show celebrating Black History Month by highlighting three pioneers that have impacted the culture, such as Nina Simone, Aaron McGruder and Muhammed Ali. Next, the crew shares their comments on Lil Baby, Swae Lee and Meek Mill tweeting about their disdain for today’s rap music and soon after, the EDS trio reacts to Freddie Gibbs’ recent tweet where he shares that an artist is ‘trash’ if their label has them other things besides rap. To close out the show, the crew dissects Youngboy NBA’s latest project, ‘Still Flexin, Still Steppin’ in their ‘Review’ segment and also answer fan questions regarding record labels needing to approve mixtapes for artists as they do for studio albums.

The reason this show isn't what it used to be anymore is because Ak is the only one comfortable giving up his opinions without worrying about upestting ppl. Watch how Nadeska covers Wayno and helps him not answer Ak's direct question of "who is not a musician". The only way he gets an answer is if Ak gives him names to choose from but Wayno is the one who made the initial stataement that some rappers arent musicians. They need someone like Budden back (not necessarily Budden) but someone who don't care and just talk freely with less commercial ties.

It's been getting worse and Akademiks has been contributing to the decline for damn near the past decade. Don't forget how hard he pushed lil pump on IG and RUclips all those months before he truly popped off to the fullest extent. We cannot be out here supporting artists because it's their way of achieving legitimate cash, either respect the art and come forward with something of quality or just let it go. DaBaby, Baby, Gunna, and even Thugga would have never made it in the 2000s because the quality of rap was higher and the bar for entry/acceptance was higher as well u needed wit, lyrics and a sense of music to be successful, not just have melodies and features. Also we have gotten to complacent with fastfood rap, songs be averaging 2mins and 20secs instead of 3 or 3 and half minutes. Mixtape/ singles/albums beginning to sound redundant.
