Great video Jack! That is some real world application right there. I continue to learn a ton from watching your stuff. Thanks for taking the time! God bless you today.
Steve hi. Much easier for sure. Can't get nearly as high for the bad leaners though. Those still require a set of spurs. Not to many now-a-days that need a "pull machine" from those days either...... Thanks for watching.
Great work. If that tree was hanging over a road in the UK the Health & Safety police would close the road down for 50 miles in both directions. They'd then have a team of 20 guys standing around all day getting in the way of anyone wanting to get the job done.
Dan hi. That's what takes me sooooo long so times to get the face in. Usually trying to miss something out in the flight path or landing strip. Thanks for watching.
alright Jack, back in the shade reduction. Seems like things gotta get a littke western now and then to make sure yet ticker is free of clogs and such. Beautifully done pard, safe cuttin
Holy crap, was wondering the first time he went up what if the grapple let go! Good thing it had excellent timing and chucked him close to the ground ;)
I notice how difficult it is to walk around such massive stumps. doesnt give very good escape plan while saving your saw. I do use the humboldt cut once in a while now that i understand what its for. mostly when cutting log trees rather than pulpwood. nice job cutting.
Nice work Jack, you had a great looking day with no wind always a plus ! If you get a chance I've just put up a edit from Husqvarna Ireland that hadn't been used up till now and the 375 stars !!
George hi. No I have not. I have serious reservation about the bearings. Additionally, I have used the mic on all the cylinder assemblies from customers and my own testing. The plating can be a thin as .001 (WAY to thin). The bores can be way outside of tolerance limits, they can be hour glass shaped, and elliptical. Some are all four. Have yet to see one that did not qualify for at least two of the four. A fan of the oem versions..... Thanks for watching.
I know you already know, but be careful out there boys. In my family alone 3 have been killed by heavy equipment. One crushed, one electrocuted, and one drown. Safety standards have progressed since their time for good reason.
@@hotsaws101 hey Jack, have you got a psy-ko SS recipe for the 064 as well? I've watched so many videos of yours new and old that I can't remember if you have or not.
holy crap... he almost brained himself on that metal bit on his way down... good thing to mention on the safety talk... next time, it could be a good thing to use a couple of your strong straps to secure the grapple hook on the machine. (its what i would do in that situation) i don't know about using a harness, but it could have gone either way if you used one. but of course, I'm sure you guys learned a lesson there so i don't think i would need to tell ye eh haha... just as an observer of course, and not an experiences individual in tree work, i do believe that we can never underestimate our safety while on a job or in life in general. i am fascinated by this type of work, among many other things, but one thing I've learned is that you can never do anything without first knowing what can go wrong and what to do if it does. be safe guys.
aye sir, it would be a good pre-caution. and maybe some straps for extra security. i can tell your machines get a lot of use. especially around those huge trees. I've always enjoyed walking and or driving around and through those woods. only been a couple times though, but the shear size of those trees makes every trip worth going.

@@maxhole2 I don’t understand what you’re saying. Jack is a great faller, but if the grapple did that 2 seconds prior, that guy would have fallen from much farther and probably been seriously injured. Just wanna see everyone make it out of the woods man
Lol instead of opening the door and asking if the guys alright he instead defends himself saying he didnt touch anything. Theyre too many people on earth who only care of themselves.
Spent most of the time cutting air. Love the escape route. That shit will get you sooner or later. Why not just clear it away instead of leavi g it hanging there.
Always a pleasure to see the efforts you choose to make sure you are on target. Nice work Jack
Thank you.

Now THAT was quite a trapeze-act! Start to finish.
Nobody injured or worse - good!
Stay healthy and safe. Thanks for sharing.
I love how you use your wedge and axe to determine if the tree is getting ready to go the way you want it!
I really liked how you cleaned up the near side corner on the face cut to make it just right! All Pro cutting for sure-Nice Work!!
I logged old growth Humboldt Redwoods back in the 60's. We used climbers to rig the pull trees. The excavator is a lot easier. Nice work Jack.

jesus, that fall coulda have been terrible.
Invite Buckin Billy Ray Smith down he would love to work with them big trees >>
I dont think Buckin is gonna teach this guy anything. he's a pretty dam good Faller (cutter).
They'd be a great pair to see interact with each other. They are both high energy, positive guys and can run a saw with the best of them.
Lucky you didn't have your hand on a pinch point when cutter opened and you fell off.
Or maybe after working around equipment your entire life, your hand doesn't get placed in a pinch point on purpose.

Thumbs up for 5:00 .
