I am vary surprised that did not bring out the JARRITO! It is known for being the best for tequila.
I'm gonna disagree with Dr Dillon, the flared rim on glasses like the Neat is better for tasting. It forces your lips wider than a straight rim, which allows more air in as you inhale + sip. I'm sure it's not what Dylan is used to, but there is something to that flare.

Great video and yep, I'm a nerd that watched the entire thing. I mostly use glencairns for my spirits, but I bought the Reidel tequila glasses after watching you guys use them all the time. Love them too. Tequila tastes the same, but the overall experience of holding and drinking from the Reidel is better.
Should add the Norlan to it. I've done a couple of these when bored. Norlan has been the slight winner over the Glencairn.
I watched the whole thing because of the wider glass options that I thought I should buy to try and now I don't have to. Thanks guys. However, I sometimes use a grappa wine glass to see if I can get a bit more out of the smell.
That was fun! I loved Jules "docking"! The glencairn is just a great all-around tasting glass.

Glencairn Glass for the Win! I use it for everything related to Distilled Spirits. I even utilize them for Craft Beer Flight Tastings.

Great video! I wonder if holding your fingers closer to the alcohol (Glen as opposed to long stem Riedel) warms it more and effuses more aroma

I use the glencairn glass at home but I don't have a PHD lol
I use some smaller sized wine glasses that have the copita shape and the shorter, sturdier stem that I really enjoy. I may get a set of copitas so I have enough for a round of blind tasting, but I was also considering the colored (green or black) Glencairns for blinds, too, because then I can't see the color of the aged tequilas that does influence what I think is in each glass. Decisions.😅
There is also the Riedel Ouverture Spirits Glass that looks just like their tequila glass but costs less.
Pretty sure I wouldn't like the dog dish for my tequila.
Cool idea
My favorite glass for ALL spirits is the Muldale Crystal Brandy Snifter...no it's not a "snifter" it's a tulip glass but it's super thin, perfect edge on the lip, perfect opening to bulb ratio...I just think it works better than any glass I've tried all around for aroma and tasting. Second favorite is probably the Riedel VINUM Cognac glass. If you REALLY want to jack up the aroma but not always for the better and with a worse drinking experience the 1920 blender's glass is an interesting thing to have on hand but not something I'd want to drink out of all the time. The neat glasses I find kinda meh, they suck to drink out of and you have to really stick your whole face it the opening for it to work properly you can't just slightly put your nose in to get the full effect. Glens are fine but I have never found them to be the best just very well rounded and durable.
My Favorite Glass is actually the one with Spirits in it.
