Hi!! Could please tell me the annual growth rate of the euphorbia ingens in perfect nursering conditions?
Hi! In ideal conditions, the Euphorbia ingens can grow about a foot per year. Let us know if you have more questions. Thanks for watching! 🙏
@@CaliforniaCactusCenter Thank you very much!! New subscriber here :)
Hi again,
I am planning to root some cuttings and germinate seeds of these plants, also nurse them when they are adults. All of it in pots.
My soil mix choice is: blond peat mixed with some perlite or vermiculite, adding in the pot´s base volcanic rocks for drainage, and covering the top also with volcanic rocks.
Do you think that would do?
Thanks again ! :)
I can not find any videos on how to get the euphorbia ingens to branch out/ grow arms…any info??
Hi, thanks for your question. The best way to get Euphorbias to branch out is to remove or cut off the top of the main trunk and then offsets will form later. Unfortunately, for some time, you will see just a stump where you remove part of main stem. To encourage new growth, fertilize with a water soluble formula for cacti and succulents once a week between March to October. Feel free to ask you more questions! Hope this information is helpful and thanks for watching. 🙏
Before disfiguring your cactus, remember, they will branch when they are ready. Ours just seeded after 15 years. Well worth the wait.
Do you have any of these now and do you have an email contact address?
Let me check this week to see if we have any left in stock. Our email address is cactuscenter2@gmail.com or you can call 626-795-2788. Thanks for watching!
