I understand. I've been trying to do the same for the past year without success. I was about to stop brewing and focus on losing weight when my YT channel suddenly took off and eventually tripled in viewership and subscribers. So, I kept going instead of quitting. This hobby is also what has keep me going through the cold dark boring winter months. When it warms up soon, I think I'm going quit brewing for the summer and focus more food videos again for a while. (I still plan to continue making wine and meads.)
As for for gear, I live in Northern Illinois and might have been interested, but like I said, I want to down scale too. Plus, I already have a ton of gear and no space for it now. The Grainfather is a great solution for the space problem.
The Brewie folks are sending me their latest Brewie+ next month to review. That one might be even better than the Grainfather as it includes a built-in chiller and is indeed a true all-in-one unit unlike the Grainfather which still requires another vessel.

Good for you! Down the road if you feel like hanging out during a big brew you should swing by. I’ll also talk with you offline about that 10 gallon pot. Cheers my friend! 🍻

Good for you Tyler! I went with the grainfather for the same reason. I’m making 2 1/2 gal batches which allows me to brew more often and pitch less beers down the drain. Drinking a few beers, share a few, enter a couple competitions and enjoying the hobby more. Cheers!

    Hello...hope all is well.
I am trying to make contact in hopes of getting an Everty growler.
    Do you have any left?
I will gladly pay any costs involved.
    I live in Ohio.
I see that you are a home brewer, but you took a hiatus to focus on your health.
That's great and I hope that you are hitting your goals.
If you happen to have any other swag or gear from Everty, please let me know.
I left my contact information on your fb Everty page.
    Stay safe and well.
    Best Regards
    T.Stokes

Wow didn’t see that coming. I admire your decision. Don’t ever doubt yourself. Because you have to take care of #1 (you) first, and when your happy, true friends will follow no matter what. Best of luck on the weight loss my friend. Don’t ever give up on it you can do it. Cheers🍻 a mash & boil is a good system too😉

Good luck man! Beer is definitely rough when you're trying to lose weight. I try to stick to just 2-3 beers a week and eating healthy but I still have a rough time not putting weight on. Wish you the best on your journey man!

  • @JHooverBrewer
    @JHooverBrewer 6 лет назад

I mean...I wouldn't mind some of your weight loss journey type videos if you did decide to do that sort of thing. But aside from that, HUGE props on making this decision. I'm still the mad man who is trying to maintain weight loss progress while also brewing. I think you might be the smarter man in that situation hahah! Cheers Tyler, we'll be in touch I am sure of that.

I’ll add another plug for the grainfather. I love mine for the convenience and the compact footprint. I’ve seen a few recent reviews of the robobrew as well, which looks like a knockoff grainfather at a bit lower price point. Might be with a look. Now if you decide to sell the can seamer...
