I'm from Kerala southern part of India belongs to Syrian christian community. It is believed that one part of our ancestors where Jews who were settled in the port area of Kerala during first century AD later got mixed with locals and other Arab traders. So our prayers always give much important to old testament which is basically Tora i guess ,we read one section from Psalms in our daily evening prayers also in Sundays we read 3 sections from old testament. Most of our names are taken from old testament and also in our Sunday school we basically study the history of Jews from Abraham to the 12 son of Jacob, how he reached Egypt, their slavery , then crossing the Red sea to reach canan, there battles there rulers etc etc. I always thought why I'm studying this much history of Israel even my grand parents told story about your history not about my country . Our western neighbour is a terrorist sponsoring nation and that country has been formed on the basis of hatred towards India and hatred towards Hindus. Their sole aim is to destroy India and eradicate idol worshippers, that is, Hindus. That's the reason we've had so many terror attacks in our country like Uri attack, Pathankot airbase attack, 2001 Parliament terror attack, Amarnath Yatra massacre and most importantly, 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. Our western terror sponsoring neighbour has been given nuclear weapons to destroy our country. Everyday, some Kashmiri Hindu or an Indian Armed Forces personnel gets martyred in Kashmir. We have many Muslims serving in the Indian Army and these terrorists kill even the Muslims for being an IAF personnel and keeping their country above their religion. Few days back, a Muslim cop who was from the J&K Police was shot dead and the terrorists left a note saying that they killed him because he fought for the "kaafirs"(infidels or idol worshippers as these terrorists call us). We Indians are also in an existential crisis like you. Yeah it's true that India is a big country but the problem is the same and the situation we face is almost same
