I believe the Basters are just the descendants of children born by White colonists soldiers and then removed from their African mothers (Namas and Hereros). It was more like an orphanage place which later became a community of its own language and culture
It's damn true cause their fathers white European, Asian grannies and khoi grannies.😅 like in bethelsdorp and whole eastern cape these people had farms and land and business the Asian mix white khoi .😊 I'm the offspring some think I'm Indian Malay and also have koisan blood yes.😅😊
No, Khoi or Khoe like the San and Rantanga people are first. They are indigenous to this region. Most African tribes in Southern Africa will have khoe, Rantanga and San heritage.
Southern Bantus are ALL native to the continent and region. People saying only Khoi and San are indegenous are ignorant of history. Firstly, we're all 100% indegenous Africans, and our ancestors have been moving around and mixing for thousands of years, and ALL carry each others DNA, and even linguistic and cultural influences. Our ancestors have always been in Africa. Next, the first people in Southern Africa are the San. The Khoi lived in East Africa and mixed with Pastoralists, then migrated Southwards, only a few centuries before the Bantu. They all mixed with each other. In fact Bantus were farmers who learnt cattle rearing from the Khoi, and taught them farming and Iron working. Funny how only Khoi and San are claimed indegenous but Bantu as "immigrants." 😂
VERY INFORMATIVE VIDEO.
Thank you very much for making the plight of these people known.
Thank you for this video. It's helpful for a creative project I've been working on. I especially like the images you've used.
