Give it a try! Also you want to make sure the guide scope is focused well it will help. Try to place the scope on the mount so it's well balanced. I did this using a pen or pencil under the dovetail to find the balance point, even for the AM5 you don't have to balance them but it helps. Thanks again!
@@Astrolips2000 thanks for the tip. I’m running the skywatcher star adventurer gti which has been great but I’m right at the 5kg weight limit now so I’m gonna get an AM5 in about 2 weeks time
Glad I came across your channel. Great stuff. I noticed you did your guide calibration while on target instead of moving the scope near the meridian that is always suggested. Was it because your target was far enough away from Polaris?
So many people new to astro will appreciate this.
Thanks man, appreciate it!!
Another awesome video. Thanks, Brian! I start building my Raininator™️ tomorrow!
Thanks man! Good luck on the build, can't wait to see how it turns out!

@@Astrolips2000 Great tip on the 50mm guide scope too! Have to try that as I’m consistently around the 1.1 arc min range and would love to get under

I find that I get much better results guiding if I calibrate on the target I'm going to shoot for the night. Thanks for watching!
the music is key
Thanks man!
Sounds like you are under an approach path for the airport. How many of your night images have captured an airliner?
Good tutorial!
always a few subs with them, there is a smaller airport close. Thanks!
