you still do the coolest stuff. Glad you've been active again!
Thanks, I hoped it would be of interest to someone:)
@@SignalsEverywhere YES, MORE PLEASE
@@smythie08 Planning more amateur TV stuff among other things :)
@@SignalsEverywhere Excellent!!
I have been watching you since your old channel days. Love your videos! Glad you are still active and making videos 😊
So glad you are back! Amazing content as always.
Thanks, it's good to be back!
Wow, I would love to try that.
Thanks for Sharing
Let me know if you have any trouble with it
WOW that's great Sarah! thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Very, very nice. Great subject that really vibes with me. Time to give my HackRF another workout it seems, haha. Thanks Sarah!
Glad to hear it, video transmission has always been a big interest to me, I hope to get live camera feed working at some point as well as go back into ATSC/8VSB and more as well. Satellite work will happen again once I get my hands on a new receiver.
@@SignalsEverywhere Sounds very interesting! I better get working on my license to properly and legally use all the cool features I see people like yourself use. Receiving signals is ‘fine’ without a radio license but transmitting needs to be done responsibly. This video has rekindled my motivation to get my own license so thanks for that as well.
@@cherrymountains72 Glad to hear it, hope to hear you on the air someday!
I'm using Dragon OS which comes with already compiled SDR softwares. HackTV GUI is straight to the point. I've tested both with a telescopic antenna (sound is weak) on a handheld set and on a versatile set receiving both analog and digital modes and it works flawlessly with extra antenna.
Thank you for the great content!
Thanks for watching :)
Very cool Sarah - thanks!
Thanks Chris :) Hope to do more in the space of Amateur TV in the future.
this is really cool, sad i dont have a hackrf
Thanks Sarah, looks amazing!
glad the channel is back
It's great to be back!
Thanks for Sharing this awesome Tool !
That's pretty cool... 😎👍
Very cool 😁
Oh nice video! Cheers from Domesday86!
thanks
Nice
what sort of range do you get with your hack RF transmitting the television signal? And are you using a Chinese clone or an original?
This is with a Chinese clone, I used to have an original but sold it when I left RUclips for a while. With this I can get a crossed the room but not any further with a basic dipole antenna
doin it for my daughta
Ah I know that program. Glad it works well for you, though was the image jumping about a bit when you ran it in Windows?
The image did jump around a bit in windows but that was due to OBS recording my screen at the time, not a fault of the software. Thanks for all your hard work and effort on it, I had a blast! :)
Thanks for you video. Do you know how to do it in reverse ? I want to catch analog video signal with HackRF.
There are modules for SDR++ as well as some other software that can do it. Unfortunately we don't have analog television out here anymore so until I can get my hands on another computer it'll be hard for me to show it.
I tried transmission and reception from the same computer but it took too much CPU to get the job done. In the future I do plan on showing this through, it's definitely doable.
@@SignalsEverywhere thanks, will try sdr++
Thanks, good stuff! Anybody try to do the opposite: receive a PAL signal using HackRF?
SoapySDR and FL2000? Yayyyyy.
Have you been able to get live transmission to work? Supposedly you can use a webcam but i never got it to work.
If you can create an FFMpeg stream you can use a camera that way, my goal is to use OBS as the stream but it didn't work out very well in a replicatable manner. I'm still looking to see what methods could be used to make this work better in real time, will definitely make a follow up video once I figure that out.
deep-tempest next?
I've been trying to get conda working correctly so I can try it since you posted this comment :)
I'd like to give it a try, we'll see if I can get it to run under my environment.
@@SignalsEverywhere python -m venv venv && . venv/bin/activate (if you don't absolutely need anaconda)
Huh, you can do fast scan on 70cm? TIL
Absolutely, there's plenty of room and tons of software and hardware to do it. This was just one example of how it can be done.
Wish apple wasn’t so lame with the networking apps. Have to get an android :(
I keep forgetting that I bought a HackRF a couple of years ago, but it has the PortaPack H2 interface on it. Hopefully, I can give this a try.
It will still function as a normal hackrf even with the portapak firmware, have fun ☺️
