Ive used the Extreme Tour Graphene for 2 years. Did not buy the 2022 version. Would you say this 2024 version is an improvement compared to the 2022? Why? Ive been using the tfight 300 , experimenting with strings, lately lower powered polys. But i always like the aerodynamic part of the Extreme.
I am certainly biased, but I do believe that updating your rackets is worthwhile. If you play even just once a week, it’s a very inexpensive purchase per play.
Tried this racket today. I feel it bit stiffer than the extreme tour 2022. But it may because I strung ng on my tour while poly on the new one. No other perspective. What do you think of the diff on stiffness?
if i enjoyed 53 lbs with lynx tour on extreme tour, you reckon if thats a good upgrade to extreme pro 2024? I tried boom mp with lynx tour, i reckon its too stiff and lossing control
@@justiceman5024 I suggest not changing too many things. If you change string, tension, and racket...... if you hate it, its hard to isolate what the cause it. Also, if for any reason 53 lbs is too stiff, the tension will only drop so pay attention to if you love it a day, week, month, etc later and you will know how much to drop it on the next restring :)))
@@BillyWander-k4m I completely agree with you, I have always considered this racket as a platform racket, especially for advanced intermediate level players, to play at that level you need to increase the stability and swingweight as close to 325-330. Greetings
Great q! Although the Shift is marketed as a spin racket, it’s just not as much as the Extreme (we also have reviews of the shift 300 if you want to check out)
Comparison to the Aero 98? Which is more muted? It would really make sense for Head to rename the current Speed Pro as the Speed Tour. And make a new the Speed Pro in 98 and 18x19
Specs look sorta interesting but I'd give that PJ a large 0 outta possible 10 imo so absolutely no interest for me. I don't find the frame name changes by HEAD confusing as they are just trying to clean up inconsistencies in their lines & the revisions are improvements & make much more sense imo. Thx for the review.
I do see some of the name changes help consistency. But Boom and Prestige are more confusing than helpful. What pj do you like as the best (any brand)??
The name was probably changed for trademark rights purposes. There used to be a music band called Extreme that went on concert tours. The band's attorneys probably objected to the name Extreme Tour, hence it was changed to Extreme Pro. Wilson had a similar problem with the Clash. The famous rock band The Clash objected to the use of the name Clash Tour so Wilson changed it to the Clash Pro. @@SolowSports Well, it's not totally white. It's a cream yellow of the palest shade, just like French Vanilla ice cream. But after thinking it over I think Lemonade suits it perfectly. If you stand the racket upright it looks like a glass of lemonade with a slice of lemon in the middle.
Head being super lazy again. Putting the same technolgy in every new racquet, bc basically every type of racquet needs the same technology, lol. If they would actually playtest their own racquets properly they would see a lot of issues with the Tour or now "Pro" version. It needs a higher SW and more mass to play solid enough. @@niceguy5430 Are you talking about static weight or swing weight? You do know that an Extreme Tour is not a beginners frame, it's quite demanding due to small sweetspot. Tennis elbow and wrist issues comes from poor technique and having overall a stiff setup with poly/leather, etc...

Super ugly racquet. I love black or simply darker colors, bright is a big no-no for me. Think Blade, Prestige, Pro Staff. I am a conservative guy when it comes to racquets.
That is the ugliest racquet I've ever seen, Head seem to spend more time on cosmetics rather than technology. Style over substance, until this monstrosity arrived.
How is the power compared to the last one? Also is the spin better? Did the power go down? Did the spin go up?
This is a lateral move for the racket. Simply a cosmetic change. You can certainly tweak those with your stringing setup

How different is it from the Extreme Tour Auxetic 1.0? Did they fix the stability issues that one had?
Quite similar to extreme tour predecessor. I thought stability was solid, especially at net
