I find your videos informative and your voice is soothing. I just got my kefir grains and learning about how to keep them alive and thriving.

Omg, i just found you and i’m excited for the yogurt you are developing, i hope you’ll distribute to the Philippines too 🙂
I’m about to try making my own homemade yogurt and once that yields good results, homemade kefir is my next project 🙂
Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. 💗

Hi, is it recommended for gerd/lpr/gastritis/ulcer to use buffalo milk or just stick to goats milk?

Hello Ms Donna, I just read today that fermented foods are high in histamine. Is this really true? I hope you can reply. Thank you.

Hi I’ve just recently bought some kefir grains enough to make 1 cup. The kefir is thickening slightly but there is no separation even after 48 hours

Hi RM , You dont want separation. Separation means the kefir has over fermented and the grains have run out of food. So as long as the milk has thickened slightly and is tart, you're good to go.. You want to aim more towards 24 hours so the grains don't run out of food unless your home is very cold. Keep in mind 1 tablespoon of active healthy grains can ferment about 2-6 cups of milk. So it doesn't make much to ferment quite a bit.

Hi naim. I always prefer to use a culture, but you can definitely do it without a culture if you don't have one, just make sure you add extra salt to help balance out the ferment.

Hi Donna, I have a question about my milk Kiefer. Since I cannot have dairy product so I use coconut milk instead. Recently the milk Kiefer turned its color to transparent then even a little gray. Does that mean my milk Kiefer turned badAnd I have to throw it away?

Hi DW , It could just be the milk you are using. Make sure you not over fermenting and that you are adding in some sugar or date paste to the coconut milk if it is unsweetened. Without adding in some sugar your grains or culture wont have any food to consume. Unless you are buying already sweetened coconut milk.
