I was checking these out on amazon. Now that I've seen them installed I think it's worth buying, I like the idea of adding led lights/etc. Thanks for sharing! :)
@@GXBOB Turns out all I needed to do was clean the battery terminals with some cola. Now my other car started coughing on me, little mini back fires. New day, new issue I guess. 🙃

No I’m originally from Illinois, but we live in Florida. The word execution can be used in various ways. To do, to conduct, to execute, etc. But I assume you were being facetious. Take care Bob!
Great video, from a fellow "Bob". My only suggestion would be that I would guess that the black and red bolts on the side are only intended for tensioning the clamps, and not for attaching cables. Also - are there rubber boots available for them? I have to admit, at the beginning of the video I was expecting you pull a cat out of the engine bay, so the dog cameo at the end was at least an indication I was on the right wavelength.
You don’t connect your jumper cables directly to these. There are plenty of space for you to connect to on the OEM cables. The end tips have plenty of metal to grab into.
I thought the part where you connect the cables are the OEM? I just don't get where you put the jumper cables. The OEM seems surrounded by bolts. Hope this makes sense
Frequent use? Only time they are really used is when i change the battery or have to do truck repair that warrants it’s removal. And even then, the tightness is adjustable.
How about simply using the same clamp found on bicycles to adjust seat, remove nut/bolt from battery terminal and place the seat clamp on your battery 🤷🏻♂️
@@GXBOB why waste $5 bucks when you can just use a quick release clamp easily found on bicycles that are not being used. That’s how I fixed my riding lawnmower
@@Mata-Rieras no every car owner has a bicycle. not every bicycle come with such clamp and then no every car owner that happen to have a bicycle wich such clamp is willing to leave their bike seat loose.
I honestly can't see why it would void your warranty. There is no altering of Oem functions with this mod. You're replacing one metal clamp with another metal clamp.
@@GXBOB A transparent cover would work to still be able to show off the gold. The risk I see is, someone might force open your hood with a crowbar just to steal the terminals.
Hi Mohammed, having both quick connects not only support having to disconnect one terminal for certain jobs, but also supports the ability to quickly disconnect batteries for switching out the dead battery for a new one too. Either way, i would prefer to have 2 quick connect terminals just so that i have that option.
Well...there are more than one way to skin an alligator. The release clamps are just to introduce you to something that may or may not make your life easier with every maintenance work. For folks that don't do repairs often, i would just keep my oem.

i am on my second set of clamps. They're not made very sturdy so recheck them after a couple of years for deterioration from acid build up.

Do the rubber washers in the locking mechanism hold up over time? Do you still like these a year later?
I haven’t had any issues with them so far!
@@GXBOB oh good, I was justing thinking of buying them on Amazon but wanted confirmation that they were fairly durable, thanks!
Hello can we tighten the nut to double safety instead of only using the quick relaese lock? Afraid after severeal relaese the lock will goe loosen
I’m telling you…. If i took a hammer to it, it still won’t come loose. The type of locking mechanism doesn’t allow it to pop loose on its own.

How do you jump a car with these type of terminals?
They are no different than regular terminals in terms of contact.
FYI @6:32 the washer the cam lock rides in is rotated incorrectly. That is partially why it tool a bit extra adjusting before it would fully lock.
