Our landlord gave us the eclipse glasses about half way thru. First time ive used them...never saw the eclipse before..im an OLD woman...i never knew what i missed. IT WAS AWESOME...when i looked up it was just black with what looked like a Cresent moon...but it was the sun...we watched it cross. WE ARE IN FLORIDA...I look very much forward to ALL your new adventures. STAY SAFE N HAVE FUN!!
Andrew I offered before, if you need a landing pad in Colorado, let me know, we have driveway space and washing machine etc. for the man on the move,:-) thx for another top shelf vid, you will have 20k subs in the blink of an eye. Also there is a “Garden of the Gods” in Colorado Springs which seems like destiny for your travels,:-)
Andrew, some advice if you decide to come to Colorado. Don’t think you can just wonder around the mountains and see what comes, that will quickly become cost prohibitive, everything is VERY expensive up there. So you should plan to stock up on groceries along the I25 corridor and then make targeted journeys into the high country for a few days. Following is a list of destinations that I think you would be very happy with and all the hiking options will be mind blowing, they start in the south of the state where it’s like desert southwest ecosystem, the end is farther north where it turns into more of an alpine ecosystem, very dramatic difference across the state. Great Sand Dunes National Park Pikes Peak - (drive your truck up to 14,400 feet) Garden of the Gods -( Located in Colorado Springs, you could do Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods in one day they are very close) Estes Park -( gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, you could spend a week up there easy) Horsetooth Reservoir - Great day trip full of trails Red Feather Lakes -( mountain town that’s like living in a postcard) Missile Silo Park -(decommissioned nuclear launch site open to the public, out of the ordinary, Greeley) Grand Junction-( very nice good sized mountain town with lots of history, it’s also on the other side of the continental divide if you want to check that box) There you go!,:-) I respect your privacy and safety so don’t feel any obligation to reply etc. but if you make it to Colorado maybe a can meet you at the Buc-ee’s on I25 and gift a couple of FIRE EXTINGUISHERS!!!! Ha! Just giving you a hard time travel safe. Look into any of those spots I think they would work perfect for what you are doing.
Hey Andrew I'm in Vermont just a few miles from the Canadian border. The sky was clear and had the best view of the eclipse. It was way more than I expected. Do what feels right for yourself that's what life is about. We create our own life and like everything they're risk but, you just keep moving forward and things always have a way of working out. The eclipse was cool. We got so dark in North Carolina. About 307pm to 320pm. Alrighty l got to see the eclipse twice..l .feel blessed. Keep up the magnificent job. 😛💙💜

That’s awesome! I’m glad you were able to see it! I didn’t have the best view, but it was still just a neat experience! I love a good change of scenery in the middle of the day. 😄 I appreciate the encouragement though, definitely wouldn’t regret getting out and seeing more of the country. I’ll miss my family, but that’s life... When I come back to the area I’ll probably have a lot of videos to edit still, so I can hang out with them while I catch back up, then take off again! Either way I’m so lucky to have this opportunity, I just want to make the most of it! Take your time and enjoy your travels. Even if you don't make it to the west coast on the first trip, hitting a few states is better than none. Look for the scenic and historic stuff. Be sure to check the summer temps of places you want to go. Save the desert locations for later in the year when cooler.
You do know that almost every rv park or even counties too offer jobs that literally are just short term , rv parks can pay for clean up or maintenance ppl , diff counties have hatcheries where you can get pd to tend to them, diff mountain towns need fire spotters there’s a ton of door short time jobs look into it !

Here in my part of south eastern Oklahoma I think someone said we would reach 95% coverage. The birds even got quiet for a little bit. It was beautiful in its own way, the colors seemed to be more vibrant as the event ended. This is the 3 rd eclipse I’ve seen and I hope to catch a couple more before my time is up.. as always, Watching from Oklahoma, That you Andrew, Jeffrey.
Oh I was hoping you would have been at 100% totality. The 4 minutes in Cape Girardeau Missouri was SO COOL! During the plus 4 minutes of complete coverage of the moon in the path of the sun was when you could look without the glasses. I was told the bright looking star below the moon was Jupiter. The diamond ring effect as it leaves totality is amazing. I didn't go to any of the block parties but stayed in the Cracker Barrel with some awesome people from Denver, Alabama, Massachusetts. Thanks to you I'm going to visit Jackson Falls and Garden of the Gods before getting back to my desk job tomorrow. Good luck on getting West. And please go to the 100% path of totality on August 12, 2045!!! It will be amazing.

You should come to middle tennessee, we have some great parks and camping here. Alot of history of war trails, plantains, water falls, to different ways of life's. Id be happy to meet up and hike a few trails with you

Young man and you need to stop using Walmart,Loves ,cracker barrel and places like that for you to stay the night and you need to break loose and stay on some random road and stay the night there or some interstate and park and on the side and stay the night get out of your comfort zone brack free from things like that

Take your time and enjoy your travels. Even if you don't make it to the west coast on the first trip, hitting a few states is better than none. Look for the scenic and historic stuff. Be sure to check the summer temps of places you want to go. Save the desert locations for later in the year when cooler.
You do know that almost every rv park or even counties too offer jobs that literally are just short term , rv parks can pay for clean up or maintenance ppl , diff counties have hatcheries where you can get pd to tend to them, diff mountain towns need fire spotters there’s a ton of door short time jobs look into it !

In Texas (DFW) we had totality of darkness! Got so dark our street lights came on. Lasted about 3 minutes! Was pretty cool. I was in the path.

Buy the ticket, take the trip ( old saying) I know you'll miss your family, so don't go too far too fast 🙏 I've lived in eastern Utah ALL my life 63 yrs traveled a little, can't leave my parents. Here in my part of south eastern Oklahoma I think someone said we would reach 95% coverage. The birds even got quiet for a little bit. It was beautiful in its own way, the colors seemed to be more vibrant as the event ended.
This is the 3 rd eclipse I’ve seen and I hope to catch a couple more before my time is up..

Oh I was hoping you would have been at 100% totality. The 4 minutes in Cape Girardeau Missouri was SO COOL! During the plus 4 minutes of complete coverage of the moon in the path of the sun was when you could look without the glasses. I was told the bright looking star below the moon was Jupiter. The diamond ring effect as it leaves totality is amazing. I didn't go to any of the block parties but stayed in the Cracker Barrel with some awesome people from Denver, Alabama, Massachusetts.
Thanks to you I'm going to visit Jackson Falls and Garden of the Gods before getting back to my desk job tomorrow.

Since you have the skills perhaps you can work some trades jobs in various places to earn as you go. Plus stopping in various areas for jobs could help learn local areas quite well vs just passing through. All the best in your travels.
