made this cover in a couple of days. this piece was really fun to play; the rhythm of the left hand complemented the right in a very addicting way, and i found myself just playing the song for hours. i was originally gonna have the instrumental playing from my phone (like i did with my alberto balsalm cover), since i figured the percussion was an important part of the piece, but halfway through practicing i realized that i'd gotten the rhythm and "feel" of the percussion down solely through my playing. it felt really nice anyway yeah. my friend cookie showed me this song a while ago. i really like it: the melody feels nice and "christmas-y", but there's a subtle element of wrong-ness lurking underneath. the lyrics (and especially the music video) only further that feeling. it really captures, in my opinion, the feeling of being out in the midwest and stuck in what feels like an endless winter, trying to put on a brave face while ur slowly going insane from the cold and being cooped up inside i dunno if that makes sense, lol. regardless... there may be a deeper reason i'm making this cover, but if there is, u guys probably won't find that out for a while ;)
10/10 beautiful cover! I can tell the hard work that went into this and that you really love to play it. I hope you'll share more songs with us like this!
i'm glad i was able to convey that. this song is really interesting to me cuz it kinda sounds happy and carefree, but there's an undercurrent of sadness throughout. the syncopated rhythms kinda add to that; i feel like there's a sense of the song constantly trying to catch up to something, but failing

This song feels very sad to me. Great playing
