Online shopping can be a problem for those who buy on a whim and whose credit card details are stored on their account so that all it takes is a moment to press the button and it's already been bought - without too much thought. We had a nice class discussion in my English lesson on this topic not too long ago and one of my students admitted buying one of my products on Black Friday because it only took him a second to press the button. He did not regret buying it, however!D

thanks for your useful viedo
Thanks for this video, BBC !
You're welcome! 🙂
Can you make a video on, what does the word "perfect" means in simple, present and past perfect? What "perfect" individually do?
Vampire shopping
Sleep-deprived
Get sucked into sth
Resist the urge
Feel-good factor
One thing to mention is that the voice should be a little bit louder.
Thanks for creating these amazing contents.
Nice shopping related vocabularies. Please make videos about marine life issues and PCOS medical conditions of women.
It's so useful

I,ve just passed my C1 level English exam. You have been really useful un order to improve my English. Thank You guys!!!
Mapi can you share some of your experiences of learning English to be more effective ? i want to get C1 either. thank you
@@LanNguyen-eo6lp in my experience what help most in learning a new language is entertainment. I've learnt English basically only thanks to RUclips videos, but not videos like BBC learning English, just funny videos and what not. I usually watch gameplay of videogames on RUclips, so I decided to watch some in English, you should do the same obviously with whatever you like watching.
I am not a shopaholic, so can't be a vampire shopper, but surely I am an internet addict. It is clear that I have become an insomniac because every night I can't get to sleep easily. And since I often go to bed late at night and have to get up so early in the morning, I have become a sleep deprived person, which means I don't have enough sleep. I think the root cause of my sleeplessness is that I have gotten sucked into the Internet. I've been using the Internet too much, particularly Facebook and RUclips , I guess. You know what? Whenever I get new likes or comments to my FB status, I can't resist the urge to check the new notifications on my phone and reply to the comments. I often do so because it is really a feel-good factor to me. Well, despite suffering from sleep deprivation, I have learned so much from the Internet. I don't think I should regret it.
I am a vampire shopper. I buy everything that i don't need too. It's not a good thing. It's the bad habit i have. Money should be kept sometimes. In my opinion we should find a way how to deal with our finance. Without it everything can be problematical. Wasting money is not the good decision. Saving it is more important. I think our behaviour is connected to our personalities. Impulsive people can waste their money a lot. Thanks BBC
Thanks
When you cant sleep, it is tempting to open up you laptop and read some trivia
I’ve watched these videos everyday
Great! We should use the present perfect continuous form here - "I've been watching these videos every day". We use the present perfect continuous when we are talking about a situation that started in the past but is continuing now: www.bbc.co.uk/learningenglish/course/intermediate/unit-2/session-2
Это первый подкаст который я слушаю 👍🏻
I watched videos every day
omg. i find it hard to stop buying online. thank BBC learning english
Here's a programme we made about retail therapy: ruclips.net/video/EcTdPfg4wO8/видео.html
Never will regret!!
Never regret to listen BBC English. I often have sleep-deprived , Fortunately I am not an insomniac and not become a vampire shopper. I don't shop online a lot , my income resists my urge to buy something. Maybe I will get sucked into online games , those cost much less money than shopping
Good channel to improve skills
How can I improve my speaking ability
@@Institute.research WHAT VLOG
Hello everybody I would like to know what English level is this conversation(b1,b2?) and the others ones, someone knows? Because I can understand almost a 90 percent of everything they say,and of course I would like to thank them for this excellent job and the passion that they have by doing this for people who want to learn and overcome themselves..
Hi Andres Fabian. The series 6 Minute English is intermediate and above. We are glad you can understand 90 percent of the conversation! Well done!
Very nice & usefull video, thanks a lot!
You're welcome! We're glad we could help! 🙂
I think u should say “ thanks so much”!or something like that. “ thanks a lot” has negative meaning.
Good point. Although the meaning is clear here, 'thanks a lot' can often come across as negative or as a criticism. So, yes, 'thanks so much' would probably be a better way to phrase it. Thanks so much for helping us out with this explanation! 😜
@@bbclearningenglish thank you very much for helping us to learn English. From Vietnam with love
I always have a feel-good factor every time I watched your videos. Just that I found it a little tricky with the phrase ”get sucked into something”, how can I not stop myself from doing something that I don’t want to?
You know that something's not really a good idea, but something or someone persuades you to do it anyway. You knew that you would regret eating that second piece of cake, but everyone else had one, so you had one too. You got sucked into it...
i hope that you can gives us some example about new vocab
Too, also and as well
Nice video
10 people have regretted spending 6 minutes in this awesome video :(
Thanks for the video !
Very good! I knew lots of new words as I am an English Language student. As the porpuse of the video is to teach The Language, it was fabulous.
Hello.I am from in Iraq 🇮🇶
👏
Get sucked into shopping online ( get involved without wanting)
Sleep deprived - you didn't have enough sleep
like number 1000
Buying things online when you are alone gives you a comfort or even a feel-good factor
Why don't show the direct casting in the studio so that the audiences can see the reporters? :) it'd be more exciting.
They do but in BBC News Review
After this video i wanted to sleep.
We hope this was a lesson you could really get your teeth into! If you're enjoyed this lesson and are (blood) thirsty for more...then check out our video on vampire bats here: ruclips.net/video/f4FxO9zPGp0/видео.html
Is it true if we say Dracula's shopper 😁😁😁.
Ha ha ha! We like it!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@bbclearningenglish wahahahahaha 😂😂😂😂😂
When i have some money, i get sucked into shopping. This is terrible
Is Mooching around and mooching off different ???
Hi, yes, they're different. If you 'mooch off' someone, you take advantage of their generosity, or you find ways to get them to support you or give you money - and you don't contribute anything in return.
@@bbclearningenglish 😍Thank you
I get sucked into computer games :3
You're not the only one! Here's a video we made about Londoners' experience of computer games: ruclips.net/video/UHYFtYpXL70/видео.html
Cant think / see straight (C1) and make bad decisions
Where's video transcript?
I get sucked into my phone :((
If it were written it would be better
Why is it so difficult? I will never learn English to communicate in English. (((
If you find this difficult, why not try out lower-intermediate course here: www.bbc.co.uk/learningenglish/course/lower-intermediate
I like shopoing and Im not vampire
I am not a vampire shopper.
Online shop is not my style.
What do you think are the problems with online shopping?
