I have been working in the Video game industry as a 3d Artist for 4 years now and let me tell u every animator friend and colleague I have talked to have only praised ZZZ's animations...it's a different style of animation which in 3d animation term is called squash and stretch.... "Over-animation" means having unnecessary movements that works negatively for the character.

I was meaning it's nice that they are taking inspiration from ZZZ. at University we would say over animate in a way to tell people to add more expression and more squash and stretch.
