Very interesting and nice scenery it goes through. At first, I was intrigued by the look of the track, but after I googled it, it made sense. It's a bit like the bus lane in Stuttgart, Germany where the buses can drive onto a bus only track, the track steers the bus and the driver can fold his arms and not worry about steering on that part of the route. Googled this line and it is a very interesting concept. Love the ingenuity.
The train (train is the correct word) in the video don’t have a driver in the train. These are basically train the only different it has tires but still follow tracks. There couple of these around japan
Great video helped by good weather. That front seat is really hard to get sometimes. The views from the train were excellent. I wonder if you were able to video the trip back to your start point ? Thumbs up.
A great video. I sometimes ride my bicycle along this line, which is quite a fun. I always wonder why only Namiki-Kita station is on the ground level, while others are high above. Last spring, I saw several young Karasu near Hakkeijima station, walking around on the pedestrian lane. In this video two birds are seen at the station, lol.
From translation from their website: Due to the electric rolling machine installed next to the branch of the track, when going straight, the movable guide plate on the straight side protrudes and hooks the straight side and branch wheel of the vehicle to guide it in the straight direction. When branching, hook the branch side / branch wheel and proceed in the branch direction. This method is called the horizontally movable guide plate method, which allows the vehicle to move smoothly even at a fork.
Ashamed to say that I learned about this line only couple months ago after moving to Yokohama and starting to explore the area, coz I thought only Tokyo's Yurikamome was of that type. Also, when I tried it, I had the impression that it's quite faster than Yurikamome, though according to Wiki both run at 60 km/h, so maybe it's just me ;)
無人運転なので、気兼ねなく撮影でき、視界もすっきりしていて、最高ですね。

It seems, this thing accelerates and decelerates like crazy. So freaking cool.
Probably cuz rubber tires got better traction
Great video!

What powers the train? Is it the white strip in the middle of the track? Is it electric? Thank you
